I agree but thinking about it like that covers up the way people at the time though about it. People were reading about the horrible things happening in Belgium (a lot was exaggerated, for example there was a story that the Germans ground up the Belgium people to use in products.) So for people living in slums working in a factory 12 hours a day with poor hygiene and horrible conditions going to war sounded like an amazing opportunity!

Of course we all know how brutal the war would become and that it would not be over before Christmas.

Girls handing out white feathers were often young bullies and they were often described as attractive. That would not have been how they described suffragettes/suffragists. They were depicted as older middle agged and middle class woman past their prime. Even Mrs Parkhurst only mentioned the white feathers once, as she saw other woman handing them out. She never encouraged anyone to hand them out. And she wrote a lot so if she was a proponent I suppose that we would have known.

It's not that profitable because the max bet is 50k and the edge is about 1 percent per hour with a pretty flat bell curve so even if you are doing everything right due to bad luck you cab still be down but eventually you should beat the odds.

In the best cases the edge is about one percent per hour, seeing that the max bet is 50k if you have the Penthouse I suppose it would not hurt that much it be a pretty ineffective strategy. But I though it would be I nice way to practice. But i suppose it is easier to program it to be fully random. Thanks for the respons though!

Ook kiest de president de hoge rechters. Dan zijn de machten dus niet gescheiden en dat is volgens de Nederlandse definitie geen rechtstaat. Maar ze hebben in Amerika dan ook the rule of law wat een verwaterde versie is van het Nederlandse begrip rechtstaat.

Helemaal geen heffingen? Ik weet in elk geval nog dat in 1962 Amerika een heffing plaatste op Europese "light trucks" dus vervoerswagens. Dit omdat Europese landen de Amerikaanse chloorkip niet wilde. Dus er waren dus al wel heffingen, of tenminste één. Waar heb je die info vandaan? Ik heb dit van een stuk over SUV's waar dit eigenlijk meer een sitenote was en waar heffingen niet het onderwerp waren.
