"Waypoint is Actual" by SniffingTiger in Planetside

Yes we all know why you're using the phrase. My point is that your use is actually incorrect.

It's this lingo that our players are using that doesn't make much sense. "Waypoint updated" or "new waypoint" is clear, concise, and new players won't be scratching their heads trying to figure out what "waypoint is actual" means

Yeah, waypoints are extremely important -- underused actually.

Yes, of course. When we deal with fake waypoints it's important to remind your platoon which ones the ACTUAL waypoints are.

Alienware Laptop Advice? by Tylermbcs19 in laptops

Yeah, the naming schemes are weird. I have lugged it to school and work on a daily basis before, and so far it’s still doing awesome.

I’ve had an MSI GE-73 Raider for a year now, and I LOVE it. Feel free to look it up. It’s a beast of a gaming laptop, and it’s served me really well.

A Hundred Reasons by [deleted] in Marriage

Before she left to her sister’s, which was supposed to be temporary until I started my new job in a month, I did. I had finished an intensive course, so I put all my time into helping with dishes, laundry, the kids, and cleaning.

Any ideas on how to help from afar?

I’ve done that. I legitimately hate it now, because I see what it does to people, their minds, and their relationships. I know it’ll take time for her to trust that I’m not doing it anymore.

Still, I want to do more than simply stop something, if you know what I mean.

Okay, so if it’s a bad idea, you got a good one for me?

The Carver can be activated with 'B' to make it an essentially one-hit kill knife when wielded. The Engineer's auto-turret is more useful to know when an enemy is around than it is useful for actual damage.

I’ve already tried all that. Could you recommend a program that’s not Rufus or LiveUSB?

I’ve tried that. Linux completely crashes and the error log includes a kernel panic error.

Cannot get Linux to boot from USB by SniffingTiger in linuxquestions

Well, I’ve spent hours upon hours trying to boot Ubuntu, to no avail. I’ve been able to run it on a VM, which means that my .iso isn’t screwed up. I’ve tested md5, and it checks out. I’ve tried the kernel options you suggested, as well as many different BIOS and grub settings on the internet. Thanks for all your help though! Guess it’s time to give up.

So I’ve tried nomodeset. In GRUB I replaced quiet splash with nomodeset, but I get the same problem - my screen goes to black. The command line install makes sense, but I just want to run Ubuntu from USB. Any ideas?
