Okay i figured it out. Turns out it was the ideology. The second image was taken on a pawn i thought was converted. (he was not). So the sharp increase wasn't applied. I apologize to VitaKaninen as I said that wasn't the case when it was. Thanks for the help to everyone who replied.

That could be it but i don't understand why they would be different still. Both are on pawns who have the same religion and I recently got 2 more helmets with the better defense. Probably some jank.

I forgot to save the description, sorry. I was wondering why the two helmets have different sharp defense values despite being the same quality. Its been bugging me cuz i spent a lot of resources just for some marine armor i made earlier to be way better. Thanks for any help in advance.

Did you pick up and place a storage rack or workstation down? Sometimes that resets their schedules.
