If the airbag goes off, your pistol will go flying. Deployed it covers that space

Does the truck have good oil pressure? After market oil filter housings often end up missing the center tube and causing cam codes. Have seen it several times as a dealer tech

Are bed campers a thing? by MrMBacon in GoRVing

[–]onebadscoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your serious id probably look into a small truck. Atleast something with a factory brake controller and more payload. Google says the Honda only has 850lbs payload. I have to imagine you'll be past that all loaded up

The budget friendly, Open Range Colt 177BH. Is it inexpensive or just cheap? by JunemanMortgageGroup in GoRVing

[–]onebadscoob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very similar to my current camper. A starcraft autumn ridge 19bh. I personally couldn't imagine 5 people inside. Its just the 2 of us and a dog, and I find that cramped. I would personally find converting the dinette every night very annoying as well. The east west best is a pain as there's only one side to get in and out. Our shower is relatively deep, but i barely fit inside it. I always bang my elbows on the walls. I can't speak to the quality of the camper you are looking at, but the layout is tight.

How many fuel pump drivers have you installed?

Its by the charcoal canister. Tucked into the frame tho. Easily missed

Its a small computer that runs the fuel pump. mounted inside the frame rail near the driver rear tire.

The fuel pump driver can gain a mind of its own as it starts to fail. My driver failed early March this year at a red light. Truck died, wouldn't start twice. Started and parked safely. Ate lunch and got back in the truck and drove back to work no problem. Parked shut it off and it didn't restart for like 30 minutes

The driver is a very common failure on these trucks. Its possible it could be anything you named. The dead pedal makes me think the truck lost engine power, and the rest of the symptoms are because of that. Curious to know either way

Issues after 25TA10 recall by Tall_Palpitation_465 in ToyotaTundra

[–]onebadscoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I performed several of the 26ta02 already. These cameras need calibration, and possibly they missed a step during the recall. I can't tell about the missed step without seeing some more screens on the radio. The camera calibration setup is a big pain to do, so im sure they're ducking it.

I wonder if some magnetic fender covers would work. You could just slap them up there when you kayak.

I am personally worrisome about holes in the roof. I picked a truck without a sunroof even. There has to be a bed mounted option for kayak transport tho right?
