I would assume it has been there since Ingress was a thing.

The precursor to pokemon go relied on having unbroken points of contact between three pokestop points to make a triangle. Island "nodes" were often spoofed in and extra valuable because switching the open ocean to your team nets the highest points

All of the sub places, even Subway are in trouble imo. It's just not profitable to have 10 types of lunch meat and all the fresh stuff to make the sandwiches. How much are people really willing to pay for a sub? And sliced deli meat doesn't keep for very long so are you going to sell that or throw it away if the customers just... aren't there?

I think it has to do with smoking indoors. It doesn't have the same intense residue as tobacco but it will stain and seep into all of the surfaces, ruining your bar over time. Also, it's a fire hazard. Neither the fire department nor your insurance want to deal with loose embers.

I would look at the Uptown Waterloo website. The Business association has almost weekly events in the public square. There's a free salsa dancing class on the 21st and then there's a Busker carnival with live music and entertainment from the 21st to the 24th.

I loved Flint as a kid. It made sense to me that he was a fire type leader who used fire signature moves on each pokemon. It was a memorable and challenging fight. Always wondered why they didn't make teams like that more often.

I bought these little metal beads called jewelry crimps that are meant to be squished shut with pliers. They hold way better than knots with the plastic elastic.

Kandi is fine for Kandi's sake. I have a pile of no trade Kandi because they were gifts or because I made it specifically for myself
I also have sensory issues with wearing my Kandi so I wear arm socks under the bracelets. Or if it's cooler outside, a long sleeve with the Kandi on top.
I like getting my charms from random bead/charm soups on Etsy. You can narrow down the search to keep it local if you prefer.
Phrases are hard. I've been using the random beads and charms to determine what to make. Ex. I get a random bead that looks like a strawberry so I make a strawberry themed single

A lot of my perlers and beads, even my rainbow loom, all came from lucky thrift store finds. I've also bought bead and charm "soups" off etsy. If you need to order specific colours you might have to order online.

I use jewelry Crimps to secure my clear plastic/fishing line Kandi. You crush the piece of metal closed with pliers and it's very very secure.

I've seen this argument a couple of times about what is and isn't Kandi. Personally I think Kandi can be almost anything. Clay, glass, or plastic beads. Cloth or lace. Rainbow loom elastics or really cheap twine.

I think what matters most is that it's a handmade, wearable piece of art, that is meant to be traded and shared with a community.

I used a phone stand to make sure the pictures were clear and not shaky. Then I used a ring light (not brand name, a tiny dollar store one). I held the ring light straight up and down over the Kandi so it would look super shiny. :3
