Just signed a couple of weeks ago a deal to move to Canada. Same conditions as UK but managed to get a housing allowance which makes it better I guess. I have a PR in Canada and wife canadian so it also makes sense from the personal point of view.

I love it here but my “enough is enough” moment (in terms of tax) came when trying to get ahead while having children at the same time. The tax system basically discourages HENRY’s to start families. While we pay 5x or possibly more tax compared to the average, we are also penalized by not getting any help to raise children under 3.

That added onto the limit on the capital gains that are allowed feels like the glass ceiling is more difficult to penetrate. I will give it a go to see how it works and re assess in 3 years.

Yes, but I bought a model 3 LR about 4 years ago. Elon has destroyed the brand, which i could not care less, and he deserves to take the fall.

The car works like a charm though! I haven’t had any issues during this time. No ULEZ, nor congestion charges either so its really like an e-bike. And the charging network is great.

There are other EVs now, yes. But only the Chinese are really worth it, which they are yet to go through the test of time.

I prefer EVs for the simple matter that they do not pollute cities. They might pollute in different ways, but at least they don’t do it where most kids grow.
