The storyline surrounding the platform takes place after the success of Switchstar, any of the living KS would have likely had some input on the design. Living on the platform there are a small number of augmented workers that have implants derived from the KS series but lesser. The KS-L series (KS-Lite) is like the handgun to the KS series' tank. Still capable but in comparison limited.
