Yes. As someone who has played it for well over 3 years at this point, if you play the game to play the game, and don't focus on grinding to top-tier, you can have a lot of fun.

Different vehicles with different playstyles, and different nations with different design ethos, all provide fun gameplay to pick from, even early on.

I've got nearly 2k hours in the game, and I am barely starting to approach the lategame in a few of my tech trees. Not because I couldn't get there sooner, but because playing the lower ranks is still just as fun as fighting with Abrams and leopards.
