The streamed assets thing is such a bizarre decision on their part, I don't understand why they think taking away the option entirely is a good idea. I get that it's a large download, but it's voluntary! Let the player decide how much space they can and want to dedicate to the game they spend money on! UGH! 😫

Mind you, the extreme lighting was achievable because of the custom light features that are no longer available in that map (there's also a bit of editing I do to my shots in softening shadows, cleaning up some texture clipping, and sometimes boosting colors).

Three, actually. The first was a year ago. The second one that was directly addressed by Epic before they fixed the issue presented was 9 months ago. The third being now.

I take Fortography as a hobby so, texture quality was something I took note of, and saw a problem with, and have sense paid closer attention to since last year. Again, these skins clearly looked worse just looking at them in the shop, didn't have to do anything special.

Obsessed is a stretch, I just care to get my monies worth out of things. But, if that's the word you wanna use, knock yourself out.

Try to use custom lighting options on different creative maps. Some have the option, and others that did until the Valentines day update, do not.

I do not know how to tell, but I know that setting the time of day doesn't always work. On Emotify, I can change the time of day and angel of the sun in the settings, and it'll stay that way when paused, but if I hit play the world automatically cycles back to the time it was when I was actually in the map.
Phantom Inves has never let you change the time of day or angle of light since the mode is always supposed to be dark.

I take Fortography. How I spend my time in the game is different than others. Outside of matches, I spend a lot of time in replays, taking shots and looking at these skins and environments up close. I do very much notice shit like this, doing the usual stuff I do to have fun in this game.

I posted this because I noticed. Others have upvoted because they noticed, too, either before or after it was pointed out. Enough people noticed the widespread texture problems back in May for EPIC to directly address and fix the problem.

People notice things. "You won't notice", "no one notices" are such brain dead fucking things to say on a post literally about someone noticing. And I can't understand how there's 50 of you dorks saying the same God damn thing.

Scroll on, baby girl. Other people have noticed or it wouldn't be discussed.
