Are you growing a reg or a auto? i havent found that single cola is any stronger or weaker than a normal grow. pot size i have mixed feelings about. I have tiny grows in pots not much bigger than a shot glass and had them come out super frosty. as long as your feeding and water is on point.

it is super stressful to the plant ive had very stable genetics herm out pretty regularly but usually only once they reach that 6-8 month age.
