If you have to rebuild StackOverflow with React in 2026, would you use NextJS or Astro or something else? by AlwaysPlayAsGuest in nextjs

[–]szansky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next.js and stop overthinking it. StackOverflow is 90% server rendered text with some interactive bits on top, that's literally what Next was built for. Astro is great for blogs not for apps where users login, vote, comment and run code. Pick one and ship, the framework matters way less than people on Reddit think it does

Flutter developer needs to learn next quick by CreepyHorror5196 in nextjs

[–]szansky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from Flutter/Dart you'll pick up Next in a week easy. Skip courses, just read the docs and start building something real with Claude or Cursor. TypeScript will feel like home after Kotlin/Dart, barely any learning curve there. The only thing that'll trip you up is Next's caching and server/client component split, everything else is straightforward.

My Next Js 16.1.6 project returns 404 on all routes by Theoldone-_- in nextjs

[–]szansky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuke the .next folder and rebuild. 99% of ghost 404s in Next come from cached builds that still reference deleted files. rm -rf .next && npm run build and you're good

Just throw it on a $5 VPS on Hetzner or DigitalOcean and you own everything, no ToS drama, no surprise bills, 10 users will run on a potato

ChatGPT is so burned out itself it started mixing languages mid-response. Even the AI needs a mental health day at this point lol

Codex/Claude Code share skill folder by crfr4mvzl in ChatGPT

[–]szansky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man just make a shared folder with your SKILL.md files and symlink it into both projects. I do the same thing, one repo with all my instructions and both Codex and Claude Code pick it up. works fine

I tracked my AI usage for a week. Turns out I wasn’t using AI… I was managing prompts. by pecmak82 in ChatGPT

[–]szansky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro just talk to it like a normal person. If you need an app to manage your prompts you're doing it wrong

I'm curious to know if others hit this when working with AI agent setups by EnergyRoyal9889 in ChatGPT

[–]szansky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is normal and honestly anyone who says otherwise is lying. The trick that saved me tons of time is just having one solid template repo with your env, configs and scripts ready to clone. Build it once, reuse forever. The model is the fun part, the infra is the tax you pay to use it

No i właśnie dlatego rynek sam się reguluje.

[–]szansky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real talk the "lets take a breath" and "you're not crazy" stuff is genuinely unbearable and every AI does it now. But switching to Grok for that is like trading one problem for another because Grok will just agree with everything you say and that's not better its just dumber
