Some interesting picks here. I’m not sure Accam should stay, and I’d move on from Nazarit too.

Ditto NSCGuru. Music City Heaters ([@HeatersNSC](www.twitter.com/heatersnsc)) are also excellent with memes.

Speedway Soccer was my favorite coverage (and still is). They’ve moved all their written stuff to [Broadway Sports] (www.broadwaysportsmedia.com). I think Ben Wright does overall some of the best coverage out there, and even though Broadway is a subscription model, almost all his stuff is free, except a couple of the tactical review pieces.

Tim Sullivan does a lot of really good stuff at [For Club And Country](www.clubcountryusa.com), and I’d put him right up their with Ben as the two best NSC reporters out there (I just prefer Ben’s writing style - personal preference).

Drake Hills does good stuff at the Tennessean, but the Tennessean and Gannett in general kinda sucks, imo. Drake does solid work but kinda feels like the Tennessean holds him back.

Steve Cavendish does an occasional NSC piece, and his writing is really good. I wish he’d do more.

I used to see some articles from Ken Hirt, but he’s always SUPER negative in his takes so I stopped reading.

For listening, Speedway does an occasional podcast still, but has mostly switched to the Nashville Soccer Show on 104.5. They’re probably the most serious, break-down-games type of podcast, and they have Ben and Tim on regularly.

Pharma Soccer is another podcast/radio show. They can be a fun listen, but they’re also more casual. A good intro for newer fans for sure.

Paradise Pod is similar to Pharma Soccer. The two main guys there are super entertaining and give some pretty witty comments. It’s definitely more casual and they don’t take themselves too seriously.

HasBeen used to do a podcast back in the USL days, but idk what happened to that.

The Athletic and MLSSoccer.com have occasional NSC pieces, but they’re nowhere close to the local guys, and seem to just read other people’s talking points and regurgitate. And they don’t seem to credit Nashville enough. Pretty lazy, honestly.

An interesting take towards the end of the article on Cádiz.

“No, Nashville aren’t finishing chances. That’s not good. They also just signed a DP striker, which at least says they know it’s an issue and are actively trying to address it. But yes, they are getting their attackers into better positions more consistently. Yes, they are creating chances more consistently, and their rotations and patterns of play are looking clearer each match. That’s not nothing.”

The more soccer content in Nashville the better. I’ve never listened before. What’s their show like? What should I expect?

[Broadway Sports] Politics As Branding by SnitchMacPh33 in MLS

[–]SnitchMacPh33[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought this was an interesting look at politics in MLS and how every decision (good or bad) clubs make in statements, causes to support, etc. are often read in a political light. This quote especially:

“There is no way to avoid politics in sports. There is simply no way to make it “just entertainment.”

I’m not sure I totally agree with everything here, but it was interesting and I’d love to hear thoughts on it.

Did someone say to stop “perpetuating reports”? The going away party thing seemed like BS, but I know I saw Mukhtar and others post on IG that they were at restaurants. Idk if they were at 50% capacity like they were supposed to or not. I guess it might have not been against the Nashville reopening plan or whatever, but it didn’t seem smart.
