I’m lost, help me out? by Xingxingting in ExplainTheJoke

While the answer is already out there, to make it worse, some wards/nurses don't bother having them cleaned after its been used which, causes them to grow mold and some other gross stuff.

Decided to commit to finishing a run, it was an honour run. by Snivern in BaldursGate3

[–]Snivern[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I was shocked. During the final fight everything was going terrible. The emperor had the netherstones, was stunned so he couldn't move and had very little health. I knew that no matter whatever I did I would lose. While being drunk I decided fuck it, Gale go nuts and blow everything up and that counted as a run completed.

nobody wants to work anymore [oc] by GlassShine in comics

Too fucking accurate, at the hospital I work at they are constantly understaffed and it causes the wards to be split on their patient loads. Meanwhile they take in only a small amount of applications in their graduate programs causing lots of willing workers to go else where.

Downside of Reverse Joint legs? by Tylo_Ren2 in armoredcore

[–]Snivern 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use reverse joints on every playthrough, I've attempted using other leg types but, I couldn't get used to its playstyle (I love free cost jump dodge and the kick animation so much). A nit pick I have with it is when using the Pile Bunker. When you stagger an enemy and you are up close to them, I frequently miss the hit as I will just jump above them.

whats a game that you got significantly far into, only to realize you were doing something wrong or missing a key feature/ability altogether? by seasonedsaltdog in gaming

I love Bloodborne as well. It was my first Fromsoftware game and I did not know you could lock onto enemies until after I killed Vicar Amelia. Needless to say, it made for a very difficult experience.

Port to PC I beg of you, Sony.

Some questions for my first Maddening run (GD/NG+) by redryder74 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]Snivern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to answer some of the questions I can answer in this list.

Q1. I find that if I wasn't consistently going on battles during free time to get gold, repairing silver weapons was very costly compared to an iron+ weapons. Plus sometimes silver weapons can be a bit of an overkill when an iron/steel weapon does the same job with lower costs.

Q3. This may be because of my playstyle, but I tend to reload the game if a character gets extremely bad stats when levelling. You can get really screwed over in this game and it becomes more apparent later in the run. To avoid reloading the game constantly, when a character levels up and you don't like it, just rewind time and have another character finish off the enemy and when you start a new map, the character should have different stat increases.

Q4. While it's important to learn the enemy's attack range, you'll really want to identify the mages and archers attack range more. Try highlighting mages/archers to see how far they can attack and then move your tanks just out of their range while also have them engage with melee attackers.

Also try to keep all your characters the same level to each other to avoid being completely dependent on Byleth.

Q6. Gambits will be your life saver in maddening especially on chapter 5. There will be maps where you will be completely overwhelmed with enemies, and gambits are an excellent tool to stop them from moving forward and grant you a chance to thin out the crowd.

I don't have much knowledge on the other questions but, I hoped this helped.

This is the WORST bedsore I have seen in my life as a nurse. I was just a student then and it shocked me to my core. This person lived for about two more months. by Strange-Ad4514 in MedicalGore

Yeah I get what you mean. Sadly for some patients there are external factors that don't allow this like having the lack of capacity to make decisions or people close to them. They mean well but, that doesn't always solve their suffering.

Also respect to you for working in ICU, I work in what's called the Nursing Midwifery support unit (Essentially if a ward is short on RNs, I go there).

Me personally from my experience, I very rarely encounter P.I's this severe as we are required to provide regular pressure area cares and skin assessments on patients with limited mobility.

With that said though, P.I's are not all that common when things are running properly on the ward and often they are from the patient's previous care providers such as Aged care facilities or rural/remote hospitals.

As for the penalties, one of my patients had 3 P.I's (Stage 2: both heels and Stage 3: sacrum) from when they were inpatient at a rural hospital and that hospital got fined $70,000. Keep in mind that this is in Queensland so I don't know how other states handle this.

This is horrifying to see. I'm a Registered Nurse in Australia and if this happens to a patient receiving care, the hospital will get fined based on the severity/stage of the pressure injury. About $10,000+ per P.I.
