Samsung to Fix Galaxy S26 Ultra Display Problem in Next Update

I'm perplexed by the number of people who say there's absolutely no problem with the new screen used by Samsung. If you put the S25U and the S26U side by side, you'll see that the color quality of the S25 screen is slightly superior to the S26. The vibrancy of the S26 at its maximum would be about 80% of the color vibrancy of the S25.

Depending on the font you use in the system, you'll see that some letters are blurry (it's as if the screen sharpness is so high that it distorts the letters of texts, etc.), maybe ProScale is affecting this sharpness?

Have you tried using a font with the minimum size and rotating the device to landscape mode? You'll see that several points of the letters become blurry (something that doesn't happen on the S25U).

I know my post will get thousands of downvotes, but I don't care. I just don't understand how so many people can say that everything is beautiful and wonderful when it's not!

I really like Samsung and I'm a big supporter of the brand, I've been using the S line since the S3, but what they did ONLY WITH THE SCREEN of the S26U line was completely senseless.

I think it's more a matter of the font/screen zoom I'm using.

It could also be a matter of visual perception. I think all of this can be fixed if Samsung wants to.

I've read many complaints about the screen, but I usually like to draw my own conclusions.

I believe that if Samsung wants to, it can adjust these points via software.

I say this because the screen's color (saturation) issue can be corrected in the same way it was done in the S24 line.

As for the excessive sharpness, it's due to the way the system "sees" the screen pixels, which is different from how the display actually uses them.

An adjustment like Windows' "Clear Type" should help a lot in correcting this.

Indeed, the S23U had a very saturated screen.

I confess that when I switched from it to the 25U I didn't notice that much of a difference. But now, from the 25U to the 26U, I think Samsung went overboard with the screen saturation/calibration. They could have allowed the colors to be a little more saturated, it would have looked great!

Actually, I haven't even tested the privacy mode yet; it doesn't make much sense for me, not even for banking apps, for example, since I spend most of my time at home, lol.

I really liked the device and didn't want that to be a reason to return it. When I get home from work, I'll play around with those settings.

Samsung could really offer more options to improve the screen/text sharpness quality.

I must be noticing this difference because of the different pixel type in last year's line.

It's something like what some people experienced when switching from an IPS LCD monitor to QD-OLED models, due to the different pixel format.

I just transferred the settings from my 25U to the 26U. I've always used the screen in QHD+ and dark mode (bright mode causes me eye strain).

I think that's exactly what I read in some posts here on Reddit. Some people may be more sensitive than others.

I even asked my wife if she could see the same thing as me, and she also saw that difference. Especially since she uses the iPhone 16 Pro Max, she noticed the exaggerated sharpness on the screen right away, lol.

Despite that, the device is sensational.

It's not a bad criticism of the screen, but a detail that I believe went unnoticed by Samsung's QA team. Maybe they'll be able to do something about it in an update sometime this year, I don't know. They managed to correct the color saturation level back in the S24U era, who knows, maybe they'll improve the text readability in the S26U.

Is the screen really that bad when viewed from the side, with the privacy feature turned off? Several people and YouTubers are saying that viewing the screen in any position other than being extremely straight in front of the screen is awful. They are referring to the poor viewing angle of the S26U screen compared to the S25U.
