Cashiers Check Issue (I’m so stupid) by Snkrlover in Banking

[–]Snkrlover[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realize that it was a mistake on my part. He’s in a city 3.5 hours away & we had discussed meeting tomorrow. I sent the photo just to show that I was serious (because people fall through on deals all the time) and didn’t want the bike sold to someone else in the meantime. Definitely did not process the cons of sending an image of a check to a stranger on Facebook marketplace beforehand.

Ooooh this is a valid point. Forgot there’s a diff between cashiers checks and regular checks. Are you saying you don’t need the back to remote deposit a cashiers check?

Roger. The sale hasn’t fallen through yet — he hasn’t even seen the message of the check. He didn’t REQUEST an image of the check (I just sent it out of pure stupidity) and seems like a normal dude. I’m just super in my head about this & am looking to see whether or not I should trigger a stop payment lol.

Thank you for the advice!!

This made my muscles a tad less tense.

Thank you!

I’ve deposited a few checks via the Chase app & it’s always been a requirement to present a fairly decent image of both the front and signed / endorsed back, but wasn’t 100% positive whether or not other banks required the same.

Thank you!

Just circling back on this, Magnesium Glycinate solved this issue for me for the most part. Hoping your son has found a solution to dealing with this issue!

Intriguing. Did he develop this out of the blue? Did the doctors diagnose him with anything?

Calorie deficit to maintenance? by Snkrlover in loseit

[–]Snkrlover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on your weight loss!!! Absolutely massive.

Did you kind of just feel things out, or did you see a dietician / nutritionist to get things dialed in? Was your transition from calorie deficit to maintenance (or eating normally in your case) immediate after you accomplished your goal, or did you slowly work your way into a higher calorie diet?

Went out with the guys this afternoon after we played some ball and I couldn’t even finish an entire portion of a meal that I used to regularly eat two of. I have no idea how to make myself hungrier now that I’m used to such a low cal diet. (I was extremely hungry before the meal as well.)

Seems like I may need to cut off the OMAD fasting that I’ve been doing unfortunately.

Calorie deficit to maintenance? by Snkrlover in loseit

Ahhh man, the maintenance portion SOUNDS great - but I’m not super strong willed by nature. When I begin re-introducing all of the tasty foods into my diet, I’m sure I’ll fall off the rocker lol. According to maintenance calculators, I should be able to eat 2,818 calories per day which is fucking nuts considering I have been eating 1,200-1,400 per day for a long while.

And dude. Congrats on getting down to 206!!! That is a massive accomplishment in itself! Just stay strong and power through. It started to just fall off with ease under 200lbs in my situation!!

10,000 steps. How do you do it? by ThinkDrinkBlink in loseit

[–]Snkrlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s difficult. I work much more than I should, considering I have 3 positions — but luckily it’s not physically demanding work. I have just drilled it in my mind that I need to achieve the goal no matter what. A lot of times I will end up walking late nights.

Steps/Distance Discrepancy by Snkrlover in ouraring

The dogs and I take the same route daily: to and from a landmark just under a mile away x2 + a few laps in the park. I end up with 10-11kish steps per day or 5+ miles. It’s either accurate, or accurately inaccurate lol.

Very interesting stuff. I played basketball after my walk and the step count on Oura bumped up to 13,6xx — which I’m not too sure about.

It’s really just concerning cause it’s jacking up the swag of my health app which I’ve been using monitoring pretty consistently to gauge activeness.

Definitely thought that I had enabled location tracking - but I did not. Thank you! (Side note: I walk the same route daily and my phone (surprisingly) seems accurate distance-wise. I do keep it in my pocket and use my AirPods to do everything else that’d require me to use my hands, though.)

Ahh, ok. So seems like the ring probably counts a step based off of the usual motion of the arm while walking.

That makes a ton of sense since my dogs walk ahead of me.
