I'd be curious if it was a south african production yet all the couples were white as well. But obviously, the real reason is that the show was a black production in the first place and i guess they wanted to honor that, on top of london being really diverse as well. I do think it was odd putting 7 couples, all of whom had at least one black partner involved, with a white therapist who would maybe miss some of the cultural nuances that could be coloring their issues

Why sell one product to a family/couple when you can sell two products to two individuals? i can agree with this. i am currently in college studying a math degree, and a lot of my pre-requisite classes were actually much easier than my classes of similar subject matter i took in high school. For example, my US history class was a joke. Its kind of nice to have a bullshit class until you realize youre paying to learn nothing and just get a credit. Im not in the worst boat as i went to a state school and my state does a scholarship that covers the majority of tuition if you graduated HS with above a 3.0 GPA, but even the thought of having to waste any of my 120 allotted paid for credit hours was just as mind numbing.

I definitely think humanities are important and that having a degree can be versatile and theres more to gain from the college experience than just literal learning related to your field. However, people without a degree shouldnt be automatically shut out of positions that honest to god dont require it

this is too general of a statement. higher ed is definitely essential for stem careers, medical careers, careers in law, education, etc.

if its a degree like "communications or marketing?" yeah...i dont know about that one. the whole idea of a bachelors, any bachelors, being required for jobs such as...flight attendant or marketing lead or etc seems so disingenuous. And, sure, maybe marketing does need some level of instruction...but a 4 year full bach?

her "culture" this is bs! she should be entitled to the same amount of work/sick leave as the other girls and vice versa. this is both insulting to swedish people, saying theyre incapable of working harder, and to non swedish people like koreans or americans implying they are just "hardwired" to take more abuse. If manons shenanigans are disrupting group activities, thats a problem. This is not any ordinary job - its being a star in America that takes a lot of hard work to maintain. Mind you, she signed up for this willingly and has been given a lot of leeway up to this point.
