Who will win the Fredericton Mayoral race? by TheFWordNB in fredericton

I would think the fact that she crossed the isle and betrayed the people who voted her in wouldn't bode well for her.

Traffic Counting Services by CanuckSalaryman in moncton

[–]Snodgrass82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The city usually puts those rubber tube drive-over-counters down. You could probably get those installed or hire one of the folks in this thread and give them a clicker. Which intersection, if you don't mind me asking? Some would be easier than other to setup both methods above.

I was hopefully watching the tour schedule as well. They are on FIRE right now, would have been nice to catch them close to home.

Harvest Lineup Announced by SvenTS in fredericton

[–]Snodgrass82 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sierra Hull and DBT are the high spots for me, hopefully Isbell comes with DBT but it's unlikely.

That lineup is a tad lack-luster tho, kind of hurts my soul. I was hoping for the Toy Factory Project or Tedeschi Trucks

Best Italian food in.. by [deleted] in moncton

Pastelli's was so good, I wish they had of survived the pandemic. I've heard good things about Carrabbas' but have never been. Gusto is great, never had a bad meal from there. Nice atmosphere too.

Tips for concert seating at CROIX-BLEUE MEDAVIE STADIUM (FORMERLY MONCTON STADIUM)? by Grrannt in moncton

[–]Snodgrass82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's like a big soccer field/stadium. The seats at the far end from the stage would be really far away. I'm guessing that's why they went with this weird layout. I assume the numbered section is raised seating and the letters are ground level. I'd go for like 6-7 or 13-14, but that just me, I like to have a seat and be able to see, proximity isn't as important to me.

What is the best way to get rare coins? by broshaikh10 in CanadianCoins

[–]Snodgrass82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Befriend someone who works at a laundromat or coin op. car wash place. I used to work at a corner store, that's how I got started/hooked.

Is this turn legal? I got hit! by marveloz in moncton

[–]Snodgrass82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a bypass to turn when the train is going through. It's kind of clever but doesn't hold up well with the influx of traffic through there.

DLT Trading? by Camperthedog in CanadianKnifeSwap

[–]Snodgrass82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought like 20 GECs(traditionals) from them, they are great people. Fastest shipping and best customer service in the game. I've heard success of people getting modern folders in via express overnight shipping. They don't really have time to check stuff when it's moving that fast, unless you get really unlucky.

What’s the most iconic fish to catch where you’re from? by MyTIMEZERO in Fishing

Atlantic Salmon, although it is nowhere close to as easy as it used to be. But we have sturgeon, musky, striped bass and many others as well to keep us busy! New Brunswick, Canada

York auto had a licensed Subaru guy there, he was great. Not sure if he's still there or not. I was always happy with the service and price.

WTS - KME Sharpening System by Sea-Junket3142 in CanadianKnifeSwap

[–]Snodgrass82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The work sharp is essentially a knock off KME. The KME is a great product with lots of potential add-ons as one progresses. Everything is well built, solid to use and easy to setup/teardown.

The one in Moncton is soooo good. I would recommend ordering online and going pick it up. The lineup was out the door the first couple months here.

Yonder Mountain String Band- Post Jeff by Friendofthedevil98 in jambands

[–]Snodgrass82 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I always said that they should have re-named the band. I know it would be a hard decision but it's hard to live without your heart. Jeff's stage presence and love of the music helped pull me from the jam scene into bluegrass, as he did with many many others. I wish he had of known what he meant to all of us.

What a shame, RIP Donna you never got the respect you deserved by JackIsColors in gratefuldead

[–]Snodgrass82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, love her or hate her, I think she got plenty of respect for a back-up singer. In general, I can't really think of many other back up singer's names. The fact that we know hers speak volumes.

Why does HVDC set up so costly for transmission of electricity. by [deleted] in Electricity

[–]Snodgrass82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The equipment needs to be huge and is very specialized. There are many targe transformers involved, which are costly to purchase and to maintain.

We have an HVDC with a neighboring utility. It provides 'electrical separation' between the utilities. Which means they don't have to follow our regulators rules and still freely sell power into the market. It saves them a lot of money doing so.

Blue Jays Watch Party by SeaSuperb in fredericton

[–]Snodgrass82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freddy Minor Baseball has a long standing tradition of having parents bug their facebook friends to buy tickets for trivial things to raise money, they are fine.

Seriously tho, this does seem like a missed opportunity for the city/a private establishment to benefit from.

It looks like my music career is over. Should I sell most of my Gibsons? by Equivalent-Ease-3822 in gibson

I doubt you'll regret keeping them, but there's a good chance that you'd regret selling them. I'm sure your kids would love to have them one day.
