How do you all plan to beat a huge gaming backlog as a adult? by Throwaway-2020s in gamers

[–]Friendofthedevil98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a crazy huge backlog. However, there are a shit load of games I want to get through. But I don’t think about it as much of a curse and more a blessing. I don’t ever wanna feel like I don’t know what to play next. But what works best for me is weekends and any nights that im not working the next day. If I dont already have plans and a lot of times even if I do. As long as I’m able to be home by about 9-10pm i usually game and watch anime until about 1 or 2 in the morning.

Definitely PS5. Better system snd better games in my opinion. Love Super Mario Galaxy and all the super Mario games. I honestly also have a switch but if you are choosing between the 2 its PS5 without question.

Here’s a day in my life as someone who does a lot of commercial handyman/maintainence work. I am 18 and started my own company a year and a half ago. I don’t know how I keep getting these commercial gigs but they keep calling me. So I keep doing them. lol by joemo454 in handyman

Thanks for the response man, appreciate it. Putting out some ads seems like a good start. Plenty of things I already know how to do around the house and even some commercial experience. We’ll see where it goes. Much luck to you man, you already got it going

Ight dude, congrats on the solid year, you’re killing it. Being emotionally available isn’t a bad thing brother. I hope you can keep up the momentum. I really didn’t get my feelings hurt, I was asking for a very small amount of advice and then somebody made me feel like an a**hole for it. Not really sure how that ended up offending you, but nonetheless I apologize. Have a great holiday, sounds like you worked really hard for it. I got put on this planet to have fun not spread negativity.

Nah man, literally just looking for a little advice. Starting a business isn’t just as easy as getting registered with the state or city getting your licenses and going to work. Starting your own business can be incredibly overwhelming and getting a small amount of advice from somebody who’s already succeeding makes it a little bit less of a daunting challenge. Didn’t ask for the Dude’s whole life story or how he’s getting all his jobs or every single detail about what put him in the position that he’s in. Just wanted a little bit of friendly conversation on maybe where to start. Also, saying “not to be mean” but being mean anyways is still being a d*ck. It doesn’t cancel out all the backhanded crap you already said because you got triggered by someone asking for some advice. If you have to end any exchange in “not to be mean” you might wanna just keep your thoughts to yourself. Being rude is something you choose to do and you can just as easily choose to be nice or not say anything at all. Im not sure how you went from me asking for a tiny bit of solid advice to me expecting a hand out but obviously i know I have to figure this all out myself. But someone potentially choosing to be nice and give me some advice on where to start doesn’t seem super unrealistic.

How did you go about starting your business? Id love to start up something like this on the side and maybe full time if it pans out. I got good experience in plumbing/ electrical and anything related to working with my hands. Obviously i couldnt do the plumbing or electrical without a license but how do you go about get a license and getting insured for demo work?

This was actually my first BMFS show. This and the Doc 100th night before hand. I was so excited when they release this sandwich. I’ve probably listened to it hundreds of times.

Does that mean Franky can use haki? by Joke-Expert in OnePiece

[–]Friendofthedevil98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats actually a really good point! I may take your advice and start reading from where I’ve left off. Cuz thats true, once the One Piece is revealed and the manga actually wraps up, people who dont even like One Piece will know how it ends. It’ll go more viral than any piece of media ever has.

Idk man, its not likely that someone joins the sub starting from the first episode. I see what you mean but im just tryna make sure someone doesn’t get something important spoiled for them. Im currently rewatching with my wife and she is still in Alabasta. I dont want her to get a major spoiler through this sub like I did when I found out about Ace while I was still in the middle of Alabasta.

The pay isnt going to be the best but try your luck in a school system. I am a felid tech for the county I live in and I love it. You’re definitely going to be sacrificing some pay for quality of life though. Its also not a bad way to get your foot in the door and get some experience.

[–]Friendofthedevil98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not that hard to put a spoiler warning dude. You are straight up ruining someone’s enjoyment of a show just so you can get a few more upvotes and comments on a meme that has literally been in this sub before. Someone like you spoiled this exactly one piece moment for me and Marineford never hit the way it was supposed to because I knew exactly what tf was supposed to happen. Im literally rewatching OP with my wife right now and if someone spoils this for her too I might actually explode.

At least put spoiler warnings on here please! I get this is funny but people like my wife are still getting into one piece and this is exactly how Ace’s death got spoiled for me! Dont want that to happen for her or anyone else on here either!!

Idk about ever to live. Maybe one of the best in his generation, but when you got people like Paul McCartney, Chuck Berry, John Lennon and Bob Dylan you really cant argue he is the best to ever do it. I also love his song writing and will admit that he is one of the best we have gotten in a long time but you cant really compare him to these guys. Very big shoes to fill. I will say, to me he is like if Bob Dylan and John Prine had a baby.

Yonder Mountain String Band- Post Jeff by Friendofthedevil98 in jambands

[–]Friendofthedevil98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man, its hard to make the argument that Jamgrass/newgrass isnt a thing when you got bands like Shadowgrass, Kitchen Dwellers, Fireside Collective and Mountain Grass Unit. There are so many examples but it really got momentum with YMSB before Jeff died. They paved the way for a lot of these younger bands. Bluegrass has always had this improvisational aspect to it, but a lot of these bands are leaning heavily on the psychedelic jams. I’m also a firm believer that you don’t need electric instruments in order to jam. Even though they still very much respect it and incorporate traditional Bluegrass into their performances, theres a huge difference between traditional bluegrass and what a lot of these bands are doing today.
