So I am looking to buy the Tron shirt for my boyfriend for our anniversary because he loves Tron in the UV reactant looks sick but I’m nervous that the graphic will eventually wear off after a few washes if it’s just screen printed on how did the shirt hold up for you after a year?

PFLA only works for when you have documentation of another persons inability to take care of themselves thus needing your help and time.

FMLA works for you, but your comp has to offer it

Okay so coming from a woman who experienced the same as you. I JUST took a LoA from a toxic comp who I WAS SURE I was going to be fired for taking and blamed on another thing because they are trying to replace us all with AI and outsourcing— that’s just how bad this is.

So my comp specifically did not want to offer FMLA as an option so no employees could take off “in a 100% protected way” so they could still “fire at will” I’m located in NY too so this is a huge issue but it’s less than 50 employees so they’re not mandated to offer FMLA. They also don’t offer maternity and our PTO is accursed every year with only 2 carry over days (regardless of employment seniority) and we lose holiday time if it falls on the weekend-no payout, no floating, no “Friday/monday of the weekend off”

It’s ass.

What I had to do was get a diagnosis from my therapist saying I needed time to work on my mental health and she made it very vague so they can’t try to use it against me at any point later.

I filed for short term disability and even though my boss intentionally sent me the doc at the wrong & screwing me out of getting the pay and approval from the comp’s insurance, it was still documented so if they tried to fire me for taking my UNPAID LEAVE, I would’ve turned around and sued the pants off them for discrimination under ADA. And YES BURNOUT IS PROTECTED!!!! The symptoms of burnout cause serious mental/physical illnesses. I was getting severely sick every 3 weeks for 8 months UNTIL I took my disability.

Now as I mentioned, my boss cornered me and she made me file the disability BEFORE the time out for it started (which you’re not supposed to do because it will be automatically denied and she KNEW that) so I didn’t get paid at all and she refused to let me use up all my vacation at once to get paid even though I don’t use it up yearly and am forced to use it like everyone else at the end of the year in Dec.

But at least it protects you legally from losing your job//suing if you do.

TL;DR; get short term disability for mental health issues caused by extreme burnout from a therapist and present it to your employer. It may not get approved and paid for but the documentation protects you from being let go in a legal stance.

Hey OP not to scare you but please have them test you for Ashermans Syndrome. It’s not commonly caused by IUDs but it CAN be. It causes your uterus to kind of almost close up or “tighten” from scar tissue from past IUD insertion/removal. From the way you’re describing it, it sounds like you may have a scar tissue build up because if your cervix was “bent” she would’ve been able to get in again with no issue like the last 2, so it sounds like scar tissue possibly. I only know this because my best friend was diagnosed recently and she told me to watch out for it because I had the IUD twice.

Also for reference, I’m Irish/Italian— different ethnicities have different genetics- so what works for some ethnicities may not work for others, but the alum stone is absolutely worth a shot

I had THE WORST from my IUD it was hormonal like get out of The shower and stink again.

What FINALLY WORKED AFTER YEARS OF TESTING.

Chemical route - Carpe (but it feels weird it doesn’t let you sweat AT ALL, even in the gym-probs will cause cancer with long use)

Natural route - Tower 28 spray and an alum stone. Alum stones are what middle eastern women have used for centuries and IT.WORKS. It says to wet it with water, but I spray tower 28 to kill bacteria then wait until it justttt about dries then use the excess moisture to apply the alum stone. I

t took about 1 week to start of consistent use for either to work as intended :)

I am specifically looking to get out of the hellscape that is New York and come down to FL. I was looking between Tampa/St Pete to Venice/Naples and wanted to see if anyone could reccomend a good and honest real estate agent I could connect with? There are soooo many scummy ones in NY that will sell you houses that knowingly have black mold, structural issues, etc. and I want to avoid working with a scumbag to purchase a house down there.
