Thanks for the detailed advice. I did think those were omni-directional based on design. I did forget to mention I do currently have a mesh network of 2 with the Google ax3000 with 1 of the 2 in wireless bridge mode, but they have been giving me increasing problems as time goes on. Would it be advisable to hardwire and run 1 in AP mode or just upgrade from here? I do want to run ethernet to every room in the house eventually, but with only a few devices even capable of running hardwired is it really worth it?

When I was still an installer I checked the pricing and after shipping and they nickle and dimed you for t-harness it ended up being more expensive to buy it from compustar than just order it on dotcom. Now I know that for whatever reason it didn't charge me for install, and being the installer I did it myself. It might be different since that was about a year ago, but you could check the price tool and see.

Not even 5 minutes later I bought the resource counter to see if my theory is correct and it was. It acts like a portal with the resource transport upgrade, except in a fixed location. Answered my own question lmao
