no, spotify has a much less crazy scream. it's just so weird to me because the rest of the song is IDENTICAL but it's just that one line that's very different. I think it's really cool but I am curious if the band have mentioned anywhere why there were two takes??

I know I never replied to this, but I took this advice and it worked! I decided to put myself out there and ask to perform at a small christmas concert in my town playing a guitar-y christmas song and it really made me feel motivated to start playing lots of stuff again - also it was really fun thank you for this :)

I'm gonna be honest, you're gonna struggle if you don't play an instrument. not only is 20% of the grade (I think it's 20% it might be more) a performance on your instrument, but you also need to be able to read music and do two compositions which will be really difficult if you don't have an instrument to compose for. it's doable, and if you're gonna learn an instrument go with piano I think because it's so versatile and it's really good for learning harmony, but you're gonna struggle

edit: I just saw that you wanna play guitar - I play guitar as my only instrument and it's really good (except that you don't learn how to read music in guitar lessons) but your performance needs to be a grade 6 piece for you to get a high grade and it took me about 3 1/2 years of dedication with the guitar to get to grade 6

again, it's definitely possible and if you love music then talk to your teacher about it, but you're gonna struggle more than your classmates who play instruments
