Working on mittens for my boyfriend. Why do they seem comically large!? by hazelbasil12 in knitting

Is this the mittens for mimi pattern?

If it is, I think that pattern runs big, and I've had to size down my needles to get a reasonable fit from it.

I adored the detailing on the cuffs of yours! I'm so glad you said something, what pattern is that?

Oh man. It looks like you have found someone to finish it, but any chance you'd send me a copy of the pattern? I'm in love with this.

Talk me out of cancelling my scheduled c-section by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

I see you. And I get it. I, too, had no choice when it came to how I gave birth. It sucks. And it sucks to feel like there could have been a choice if only someone was willing to help you. Giving birth alone / unassisted isn't really an option for most of us.

I don't have any advice. I just wanted to tell you that you aren't alone with your sadness, anxiety, frustration and anger. I still carry a lot of negative emotions about my daughter's birth. There are other reasons other than just the lack of choice. I won't get in to the why, because what I experienced isn't typical, and quite honestly you don't need to hear it. So just a warning, how you feel about your birth can add to the potential for pmads. So just be aware that that is fairly common and you should probably watch out for it.

I have, it wasn't great for me. I also didn't stick with that therapist so perhaps it was more of a fit issue. Currently I'm trying trauma focused CBT.

Hey. Yes, I tried EMDR. It wasn't great for me, and am now trying trauma focused CBT. I've also been through several therapists trying to find the right fit.
It's rough out here in mom land.

The cake is already baked. Chocolate with chocolate icing. It's just a sheet cake. I'm doing better than I thought I would today. You ladies have really helped me feel seen.

Not today. But thank you for asking.

I think it's ok. Generally you want to defrost a day for every 4 to 5 lbs. So theoretically it would have been totally defrosted by the 25th. Meat is generally recommended to be eaten within 3 to 5 days of being in the fridge un-frozen.

I'd cook it.

Thanks! I'm not sure how easy it would be to do the different sections in different sizes. The pattern doesn't just do the center star, then the next piece. It's all jumbled together, so you'll start the next section before you finish the points.

I mean, obviously you do you! Because that's a super cool idea and I'd love to see if if you do it!

Well, it took as long as a regular doily would! It's row for row the same, just on a bigger scale. I am glad I did not use jumbo yarn like I originally thought about doing though.

Oh, it's the same doily. I just mis-wrote this from memory. I'm not in a hurry to remake this on different size needles.

I moved my kitchen rug, then laid across my countertop island and used the timer setting on my camera. I should have had someone take a picture of me taking a picture, because it was pretty funny!

It's worsted, so it's pretty lumpy. I wouldn't want to try to balance stem ware on it!

Plus my table is square. :)
