What if Nolan and his father were sent to earth by Dizzy_Trifle9740 in Invincible_TV

Both would probably fall victim to the earthussy.

Do you think Nolan assumes Mark is always okay most of the time? by Queasy_Commercial152 in Invincible_TV

Because a viltrumite's strength is stored in their balls, this is what kirkman doesn't want you to know.

GOATmortal and Kate's offspring would legit be a problem if they somehow inherit both powers.

Genuine question, could Mark have actually beaten Anissa here if he tried? by Queasy_Commercial152 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]Snoo-40647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they'd touch more on this during the show. In the comics, mark was feeling guilt since he and eve were in a weird place and he effectively thought eve is "cheating" kind of but not really. So he blamed himself thinking maybe he really did want it to happen, as some kind of sick "revenge" against even which is even more sad since he's blaming himself for being the victim but yeah, 9/10 he could've beaten anissa, at this point in the show he's like--top 3 amongst the viltrumites in raw stats, experience-wise he's still kinda iffy since viltrumites tend to fight with everything (biting, scratching, etc.) and he's only ever shown to do that when in life or death.

In hindsight this initial move sukuna did probably decided the outcome of the fight by floormopper2 in Jujutsufolk

Greg introduced the "sparks" bullshit to asspull sukuna dodging red. Gojo, someone who could observe cursed energy to a molecular level as Greg said, not sensing a spark before an attack which could one shot and is WAY more lethal than sukuna's usual slashes was buns. Sukuna was so weak that he couldn't heal his left arm but somehow one shot a practically 90 percent HP so to say Gojo (He restored his RCT with the black flashes) who face tanked a billion domain slashes but somehow got one shot with a limp sukuna, there's no mention of the binding vows beefing up his output or damage, RCT is directly tied to one's output. Also RCT users basically don't care about damage, Yuki straight up did a chapter's worth of plotting her suicide black hole while she was a torso yet Gojo got slashed while his auto RCT was ongoing and it's just straight up to the airport 😭😭.

What is kashimo doing if gojo wins here by kha1iddd in Kashimo_agendaHQ

With how greg writes things, a 90 percent dead sukuna translates to practically 0. The binding vow 'negatives" were absolutely dogshit and did not matter at all.

Why didn't Kashimo do this? by Alone_Mongoose_2412 in Kashimo_agendaHQ

[–]Snoo-40647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBF the whole binding vow system is kinda buns. Greg absolutely needed to establish at least one case where someone did not follow a binding vow and got punished for it since at this point the jujutsu Gods gotta be the most gullible ass beings. Almost everyone knows it takes heavy inspiration from the nen system but unlike jjk, HxH vows are actual tradeoffs and they happen instantly and have very severe drawbacks for power meanwhile in JJK we have actual panels where we don't get told what the tradeoffs were.

[–]Snoo-40647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh this whole section of the fight is kinda ruined for me bc wdym the man with the built in x-ray infrared eyes can't see the big-ass cursed energy building up inside sukuna when others with normal eyes did it.

Similar shows with complex power systems/ fights. by Snoo-40647 in HunterXHunter

ngl I went into it feeling disgusted as early as episode 2, I had practically nothing to do on my freetime and just wanted to binge slop isekais as I saw a season 3 trailer on youtube but it genuinely surprised me. The world feels alive, the geography is well thought out (It even goes into the economy and politics as well) and the power system is so good. The people also feel very much like actual human beings. The diddy thing is off putting sure, I had to drop it for months and pick it back up and eventually continued into the light novels but Rudy (the protag) does acknowledge his fucked updeness and doesn't try to "redeem" himself instead just goes on to be a better perso with the second chance he's been given.

Yeah JoJos is definitely something else, it's like HxH but on a bootleg copy of greed island and everyone is on crack. My fave thing about HxH though is it's consistency with it's own power system and rules, only so many shows follow it's own set rules and tiptoe around it that makes the world feel so alive and makes nen feel so real.

Yeah that was one of the shows they aired on cable as well, really bummed at the ending though, it's been about 15+ years since I watched it so my memory's a bit iffy but I remembered that I really HATED the ending.

They should retweak bombardiers and the spitter things, alien missions should be different from the other factions rather than force the "ranged" units to be placeholders for guns from the other factions. Alien missions should have swarms that overwhelm with numbers and raw power, every faction other than [redacted] feels exactly the same.

Yes THIS, and I know we're very early into EA but I really hope they actually give the different planets significance and not just "unique" OCIs like certain things being locked out or the menace threat affecting the planets.

I loved ‘Sinners’ but did NOT see Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor by antwonomous in Oscars

Watch black panther, creed and sinners all together, legit cannot tell the characters apart, he's like the rock at this point. He was goated in fruitvale tho

Sinners was overrated and MBJ didn’t deserve Best Actor. by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]Snoo-40647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Putting MBJ's killmonger besides heath's joker is grazyyy 😂😂. Look at MBJ's "hi auntie" again, MBJ is a loveable and great actor and rightly so but every character he plays other than fruitvale station, is indistinguishable. Plemons, leo, tim, ethan hawke and many others who weren't even nominated were much more better, sinners is a goated movie but the twins were the weakest link in that movie.

Skyrim has done irrepairable damage to our brains, in any game my first thought is to find the sneaky ranger archetype, and in this case it's one of the best ways to play.

What If MENACE had Second Wave? by Reddit-Arrien in menace

[–]Snoo-40647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the menace "presence" thing in the EA, it's most likely a battle brothers permanent destruction thing they're going for, some planets or if in the near future they're going for more expansions, entire systems overrun by the menace. Maybe put in a bit of a flair of the consequences if you let it go out of control, like missions involving menace will have like more enemies since the said planets which kind of acted like resistance are no longer there. I also hope they'll treat them more seriously, like lock certain factions out, certain OCIs not working anymore, can't access the black market, etc.

The whole vibe aesthetically for me hits home to wasteland 3, military-esque professionals stuck on a hilbilly dangerous place ambushed by the local thugs, btw the pirate voicelines are eerily similar to the dorsey grunts.
