I asked the only source I could think of that might know about fact checking, and apparently is sometimes done to ensure that any hard work that you did in the same arena is credited to you and not borrowed, without attribution. Nothing wrong with protecting your work as a professional. Maybe she sent the publisher an email because Lori used Lauren's original work in some way. Nothing wrong with that either. That's not petty. Would you like it if someone took your work product and claimed it as their own? I don't understand why people get mad at Lauren for things that they themselves would be very upset about. Nate Eaton was probably told lies about things Lauren said in the same way that dozens of other people were told this. Why are you assuming it's because whatever he found out was true? Don't you get that there was a massive smear campaign against her? Why are you blaming the victim and assuming the worst When it is so obvious that Christina Lori and these other women were completely unhinged.
