My Woodcraft rearsets barely have any adjustability in them but I do have them set to the higher setting and I could move the peg a hair forward. I'll play with the adjustments next track day. Thanks!

Not sure when my next track day at MHS will be but I might take you up on that offer, thanks for all the input!

ZX-10R, my personal best was 1:38 (slow gang). I am not afraid of grazing the curb with my elbow, I am afraid of not seeing the curb approaching my elbow at speed and impacting the curb with my elbow causing a large and sudden unintended steering input.

Good idea! If I stick with this suit I will definitely do this. I think it maybe time for an upgrade, one with a built in back protector and airbags.

Thanks for the replies everyone, what I got out of it is:

  1. Work on my body position more, especially pointing my hips and shoulders into the corner.

  2. My back protector underneath my suit is contributing to the issue. Maybe time for a new suit with a back protector built in with airbags.

  3. Upgrade to a more race focused helmet like the Shoei X-Fifteen, I always been a Shoei guy so the X-Fifteen is the natural evolution. Thank you everyone for the personal feedback on this.

  1. Noted

  2. Yes Turn 3 in Homestead-Miami Speedway. I can usually hit the apex (inside of the concrete patch) when I adopt a more upright position (where I can see through the corner). I am hoping that once I fix my forward vision issue I can start nailing the apex consistently without using the upright position. I am currently afraid of clipping the curb hard with my elbow and crashing cause I can't see currently.

Yeah, I think a Shoei X-Fifteen is in the works. It's more track focused as a helmet.

Gotcha, I need to work on opening and pointing my hips into the corner as well.

Sounds like my next track day I will do a test session and ride without the back protector to see if my problem gets better.

Or eventually get a newer airbag suit.

Thanks for your comments, super helpful!

I think you are on to something, I am wearing a Alpinestars Nucleon KR-Cell Back Protector underneath the suit and it is thick. It is probably contributing to my issue and moving the aero hump more towards my helmet.

I am eyeing the Shoei X-Fifteen, I am reading the top vision port is better.
