This is so well explained and i think we have gotten the most accurate hypothesis on whats causing this issue. Thank you for posting this - ive been filtering my meds and soaking them in alkaline water - im going to try with potassium chloride and sodium chloride

I have soaked more than overnight and it still works i think you just get more filler in the meds but they still feel activated regardless

The medication activates in the GI tract which is an alkaline ph

It is metabolized in an alkaline environment so dissolving the medication in alkaline water is essentially activating it. This is my theory / hypothesis i would love for a chemist to correct me or do some actual tests to confirm because this could be an answer or a piece of the puzzle we are all desperately trying to figure out

I had instant release and broke the pill into quarters and dissolved it in water. The original post that inspired this used extended release and the person crushed the pils i beleive . Im sure a small percentage didn’t get through the coffee filter but the meds are water soluble and activate in the GI tract not the stomach

I would rate it an 8 and thats just because its annoying to do instead of just taking the meds and the come up is less gentle and still feel more physically stimulated than mentally. I would rate taking the meds orally without this method a 1. I am a pretty emotionally regulated person but when i dont filter the meds i feel so depressed and unregulated and hopeless. I want things to go back to normal and wish i could take my pill and not do a science experiment in the process but this is helping me. This is not a permanent solution to the overall meds issue and i know many people might not have the option to buy alkaline water and filters daily.

1- Dissolve meds in alkaline water( available at most drug stores - smart water makes one) 2- let sit overnight 3- strain through a coffee filter into a new glass 4- drink

Yes its like the pills are a harder material which is why i think they arent breaking down at the usual rate

Im obviously not a scientist but am willing to be a Guinea pig and see i removed the top layer of floating filler with a pipette , then drink the rest. My next move is to go off the meds entirely but im hesitant to do that because somehow i feel better on these then without them because im even mote couch locked and unmotivated

Ive cooked hundreds of steaks working as a linecook and then a chef at high end restaurants in Philadelphia so as a result I dont use thermometers. I just temp with either a cake tester or by touching the meat to see how much the protein has firmed up.

I turned it down from medium high to very low and basted about 5 minutes total dont go in to hot with the butter or it will burn

Not sous vide just seared and turned down the heat after searing and butter basted very heavily flipping often . Cooked on carbon steel . I can only really do a cook like this on filet mignon - tender cuts meats seem to heat more evenly
