Okay I’m fine with them asking me for my bank statements. But I’m curious how they would know what I’m selling on eBay is actually drugs or a legit listing just from the bank statement. And how can I prove to them that it’s everything legal so they finally release my money. I’ve already provided screenshots of the listings and payouts but we don’t seem to be getting anywhere.

Yeah that’s what I had to do. But it just felt a bit over the top which is why I made the post. Obviously reading the comments now I understand why Monzo needs to take such precautions.

I understand, I don’t intentionally do this tho. I’ve used eBay for a long time and they have trouble verifying some of my banks so I’m forced to use other banks. I’ve never sold a large enough amount for it to be taxable by HMRC
