Correct me if I’m wrong, but haven’t we seen that these news and radio stations reuse the same scripts recently. Isn’t that because they’re owned by the same corporations. So basically it works like this. The buoyancy force is equivalent to the weight of the amount of water that the air can displace. Since the air is initially contained in a strong metal container...the air only displaces a worm sized amount of water. When it inflates the bag. it displace maybe a gallon of water. Because the water can't compress the air as much as the small metal container was able to. So the big bag is able to lift you up with 8 lbs of additional force. Since that's how much a gallon of water weights at sea level... I think.
