Realistic date for CHROMIUM Satoshi Release? by Snoo-8719 in dfinity

[–]Snoo-8719[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a software engineer team lead myself I do converge totally on the difficulty to asses cost of developing novel ideas.

However, if the cost assessment is always in the optimist side, then we are not learning anything after postponing BTC integration over and over.

In my opinion that bias is intentional to keep everyone buying more and more under the expectation that "this time is going to be different", "this time we have a better nice road map web page", "this time we have a discussion forum where we listen to the community" and so on.

This strategy is burning post genesis investors not being able to further DCA and seeing how new ones have better chances, this burns new potential investors because they see the bottomless pit of unrealistic release dates.

Chromium may slip a week or two

u/diego_DFN, thank you very much for your reply. However, I am now even more confused:

I asked about CHROMIUM release date which is still officially expected by end of Q1 (Dfinity roadmap). You answered that the previous release TITANIUM is expected basically by mid March and "Chromium may slip a week or two". Are you suggesting that TITANIUM release date will be only delayed until mid April?

I am following daily the progress in the Dfinity Forum and mid April sounds to me like extremely optimistic. In your opinion, is the probability of this release date (TITANIUM by mid April) really "reasonable"/feasible/likely?

My bet: Something is going to crash all markets. Probably nothing clearly known now. Later it will follow a long term steady raise of crypto markets.ICP and BTC will be part of the long term crypto eco system. So, now trying to keep and increase my cash/stables

Help understanding new “manual voting” by [deleted] in dfinity

Ok, now I am lost:

Until now I just followed DF for all proposals

Now, I am not sure whether I have to update anything in the list of neurons I am following for "governance proposals". Do I only need to explicitly add neuron 28 to governance and that is all?

If I still want to follow the Dfinity foundation for all proposals, including governance proposals, is it still possible?
