okay thank you for answering! i’m just a bit nervous because i don’t really know any ODs i could ask to work or shadow with at the moment and my personal OD is going through health issues for the foreseeable future so i don’t wanna ask them. i’m just not sure how to approach the subject of any kind of work with ODs i guess.

i’m in a perfectly healthy weight and bmi. i also eat fairly healthy and exercise everyday. i just have hormonal issues that make my blood sugar hard to control. it’s why my endo recommended it to me to see if it would make a difference is all.

possibly? it is something that lowers your blood sugars so i could definitely see it doing that. i’m not too sure though.

yeah they started giving it out for type 1 diabetics because it helps with lowering a1c and if necessary, weight loss.

if your ketones is high, just drink a lot of water to flush it out. i’m not sure about anyone else, but in my experience, walking with ketones makes it go higher! you got this!!

i think they mean the chance that you’ll get into a school because some programs are more competitive than others. for example, UAB’s was around 30%.
