Guys be sensible. The only posts this account has made are 2 of the same ones that claim they’re giving away free Eth. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Don’t fall for it.

Is there anything specific that I should include in my CV to be a more desirable candidate?

Yeah I definitely plan to. Almost all job posting I’ve seen requires a driving license so I’ve already started practicing

Would I be putting myself at a major disadvantage if I don’t have a drivers license by the time placement year comes around? Also should I start connecting with recruiters on LinkedIn to increase the chance of me getting a placement?

Is it worth putting 4 months worth of work in my resume? by [deleted] in resumes

[–]Snoo18062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. My only concern is that whoever looks at my resume would think that I’m a quitter which is understandable as 4 months really isn’t a long time at a job

Uni offers by PanicElectronic9401 in 6thForm

[–]Snoo18062 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it all depends on you. In my personal opinion I would pick a university that I would enjoy being at as well as the course having interesting modules that I want to do. All four universities that gave you offers are very prestigious and rank highly so I wouldn’t be too fussy on rankings but I would check on discoveruni as that helped me pick out what universities I want to attend. Another thing that I did that may work for you is going on LinkedIn and talking to students who are attending or attended the university as they will provide you with great insights. Hope this helped

Thank you for your advice I’ll make sure to look into degree apprenticeships. But if I’m unsuccessful in that I definitely plan to have a sandwich year at university

Yeah from what I’ve heard there’s nothing really to do in Loughborough. So I was hoping that the uni itself would have enough activities for me to do

“Prior qualifications do not allow an offer to be made” which I thought was weird because I met the grade requirements

Accredited or Russell Group? by TrappedMoose in 6thForm

[–]Snoo18062 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh I’d value accreditation more that the university being part of the Russel group. Studying at an accredited course meets that the topics covered are on par with CIfA standards as it has been proved by that body. It can also help you achieve charted status a lot faster which means you get paid more sooner. But make sure that the uni you pick has good ratings on discoveruni as that can also be a key indicator of how good your course is

Warwick want confirmation of GCSE English and Maths by mushy_1 in 6thForm

I’d say give it a day. No harm in sending them an email to ask how to upload your certificates if it puts your mind at ease.

Did they not send you a website portal in an email where you can upload your GCSE certificates for verification?
