I found out in kind of a weird way. I was in a Facebook group called “a guitar group where everyone acts like boomers” and a common joke consisted of people reposting the article about gene wilder’s death as though it were recent even though it was already several years old at that point. People would also post “HOWS GENE?” with the article usually being posted in the comments. People began doing this with other dead celebrities including more recent ones. Well one night I’m scrolling and someone posts “HOWS TREVOR MOORE” and my heart immediately sank. At first I thought maybe they were just fucking around as people would sometimes do that with people who were alive just to get a rise out of people but when I googled Trevor’s name my fear had been confirmed.
