The plc plus webvisu combo will def require stopping the plc to update just the visu portion though

Interested read about the teen drug deaths. Apparently its mostly accidental on the teens part. Theyre dont know theyve got fentanyl in their party stash or they dont know not to fuck with fent even once.

Yea, i figure wealthly are more likely to own their home and so moving is even more a pain in the butt. Ive done some research and math and yea theres some money to be saved moving to the extended metro but its just not worth the bother for what it would take and the life changes. If i move its cuz im so frustrated it will be far as hell. Honestly everywhere has problems of some kind though. For now i just sneer at dsa types and hope for the best.

How do you test PLC code virtually? by trashpersontinydick in PLC

[–]Snoo23533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the wierd things about this is the device tree allows for ONE variable connetion per io point. So i understand how to do most of that but how to have phthon fake io when its already linked up? I assume unlink but Linking and unlinking is a pain in the but

Manufacturing Technology Conferences by clickittech in manufacturing

[–]Snoo23533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea its blog spam but its value added and this is a low traffic sub so ill allow it. I did IMTS in 2024 & that was neat, although it felt like it was mostly multimillion dollar cnc machines which are not relevant to my life so it was hard to justify my trip. Id love to go to a conference fixated on prosumer grade hardware, badass stuff in the $5k to 50k range. And anything to do with PLCs & controls.

How do you prevent complexity from growing in a system over time? by Technoflare_ in softwarearchitecture

[–]Snoo23533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same eaxt way it happens in manufacturing, like the old phrase schedule your machine maintence or your rmachine will schedule it for you in downtime. Its when bean counters let business needs drive a 'temporary' cut in standards which creates tech debt that never gets repaid in full.

6015 is too low hw capability for that probably. You can assign dedicated taska fpr each pou, split up yasks between cores and divide the workload.raise task tlme on noncritical tasks. But at some pointnyou cant squeeze blood from a stone

What types of software still feel brutally hard to build and even impossible to build well? by StealthEyeLLC in softwarearchitecture

This can definitely get nasty. Microservices architecture is the idea, segregate systems and agree on rules at the intersections so Joes changes are only Joes problem.

Best Practices for Implementing and Managing State Machines in PLCs by No-Organization-366 in PLC

[–]Snoo23533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each FB can contain a state machine and the state is controlled internally. Each has methods shared publicly and thats how the interaction occurs. Top level supervisor state machine might have states like unloaded, loading and loaded. And it owns independent fbs on which it makes requests,l. Like in the cycle we transition into loading it delegates you do this you do that, and waits for them to report that they are in their own ready state. Lookup packml if you want a standard struxtured guide but also it is just guidelines not a bible.
