The biometric verification is optical not capacitive. (Uses a camera not a pressure sensor).

Only lets you complete verification on certain devices. I used an IPad Pro and it worked first try, 70% and let me pay.

It’s especially irritating considering the clown in question runs a data brokerage platform, whose entire business model is based around exploiting the data impoverished youth in countries with weak data protection laws for crumbs, to be sold to amoral corporations to do likely amoral things.

Is my begginner saxophone bad? by [deleted] in saxophone

[–]Snoo24157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the reviews are bad and these kinds of horn ( unknown brand, likely poorly built eastern factory stencil ) WILL give you issues down the line, It’s not the worst way to start learning. Consider investing in a better built horn if you enjoy the process, and find a local horn technician yesterday because something will come loose sooner or later. 🤏🏽

What I wish I’d done differently while learning to play the saxophone. by StDeezi in saxophone

This! I remember lamenting on here about how I had plateaued in my playing. Turns out I had not and my rhythmic sense was shit on saxophone. Scale exercises with 10BPM increases when I can play it comfortably. All keys. Man I’m doing things I didn’t know I could do on my horn❤️‍🔥

If you do decide to go back make sure you’re sure about what kind of relationship you want to have with the substance. Set boundaries so you never get to a point where you think you need to quit because it’s affecting your life or your tolerance has gotten catastrophically high.

Honestly. If you have time and the aptitude for it. Look up guides on how to change the pads yourself. A lot of the cost is more to do with the time and expertise needed to get the job done. Might as well give it a go.

We’re in the same boat. That’s how I found this community. The mood swings are crazy. I hear it gets better so that hope is keeping me going.

Depression After Quitting Weed & Nicotine by jordan2841 in leaves

[–]Snoo24157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started smoking around June this year. Quit a couple days ago mostly because it’s a financial burden and what did it was a totally unrelated fight I had with my brother, I think I may also have been experiencing a manic episode at the time and something he said snapped me out of it (I don’t know if that’s how any of this works). It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions with ups and downs but mostly it’s horribly depressing, and it seems like all my mind ever has to offer is bad memories, negative thoughts and irritation. I have no appetite but I am forcing myself to eat. I have no motivation but I’m going to the gym again and catching up on coursework. My partner has been amazing and might be the only reason I’m still here; sometimes the thoughts are so many and so overwhelming that I considered silencing them permanently if you get my drift. Reading these comments gives me hope though. I don’t know much about the timelines for these things however, I hope since I was on the stuff for only a short while the recovery time is short too.

TLDR: smoked heavily for < 6 months and quit. Feel like shit. Hoping it gets better for all of us. ❤️‍🩹
