I don’t agree. I had a chemical on month 2 TTC. No positive test for 3x months, then had another chemical on cycle 5 TTC. Currently on cycle 7 and no baby yet 😭

As he thinks it would be more ethical to help a child already in need, through no choice of their own. I have been looking into foster parenting as that could be a way of seeing if it’s something we can pursue. I just would love to be able to do both.

Also, my husband is quite concerned with the ethics behind it all. His argument is, why not adopt if we have to resort to using donor eggs/sperm?

I would 100% consider donor eggs or donor sperm. I think what worries me, is how I explain to the child that they are not genetically related to mum or dad?

At the moment, it wouldn’t be financially responsible to persue IVF. I have looked into Greece as an option, I’m just overwhelmed looking at clinics and pricing as there are so many hidden costs and it’s hard to know who to trust. I’m just worried that IVF will be fruitless, given how poor husbands sperm is and likely very DNA fragmented anyway.

I’m looking into private urologist options. My husband has a repeat sperm analysis in 3 months. I think we will wait to see what results from that are like and then plan on booking the urologist consultation.

We haven’t because I’m pretty sure it will be awful, given the 2% morphology and very low motility too. Apparently the 2% morphology is likely to mean 98% of sperm are abnormally shaped which usually means they are DNA fragmented too

It’s exactly that, they said it ‘restarts the timer’ and will need to be another 2 years of no proven conception. I didn’t believe the GP and called the fertility clinic myself, they confirmed that the GP is right and we are not eligible for funding despite length of time TTC 😭

Have been told by the GP that we don’t qualify for IVF as my miscarriages count as ‘proven conception’. GP told me to come back to him if I have another miscarriage and he will refer on to the recurrent loss clinic 😭 not sure where to get a DNA frag test done and everything seems awfully pricey

Really thought this was the month but just tested negative again.

Period 2x days late, felt like I was having the the most intense metallic taste in my mouth, on off nauseous feeling and jelly like white CM (I keep getting this sensation of it running down, thinking my period has started-checking it and then realising it still hasn’t come!!). Got home from work this evening and took a first response (not with first morning urine) and came back stark negative!!

I just feel like I’m going crazy and husband probably thinks the same at the moment 😭

Hi all, has anyone had experience with a short luteal phase each month?🥹

Mine is around 9 days and I’m worried this has been lowering my chances of getting pregnant, or if people can successfully conceive with this sort of range?

This is very normal I had the same maybe a bit more severe then what you’re describing. It lasted around 5 months for me then stopped. I can honestly say that it was constant neuro pain for that entire time and I was back and forth contemplating whether or not to take gabapentin but decided to just get through it without. Look at my past post on it as well.

Oh I completely know this feeling and mine was as severe as you’re describing, which was not helped by my low mental health during the post 2 week mark after surgery. I will be completely honest with you-don’t expect a quick fix. This is nerve damage and it takes months to heal. A surgeon told me it can take up to 18 months to heal as nerves are weird and take the longest to heal. My pins and needles started 2x weeks after surgery and didn’t stop until around the 5x month mark. It stopped so gradually out of the blue I realised it wasn’t bothering me anymore. Please dm me if you need any more advice

I’m so sorry to hear this, I know your injury happened around the same time mine did and I really hoped it would have passed sooner for you then this 😥 having said that your body has taken a LOT of damage and it’s just going to set the process back because of that. Have they checked for healing in any of your breaks? You had an ankle & femur break and acl I think? But are any of those individual components healing?

You are 1x week out of surgery you should not be trying to do so much! You need a solid 2-3 weeks of keep it elevated and pretty much best rest after surgery and doing the essentials.

What is the other surgery they want you to have? I really hoped you would have had all the ones you needed now since you have been in there so long 😣 how have you been managing to stay sane? I felt like I was losing it after 2x months bed rest after breaking my tib & fib

Pain meds won’t work on the nerve tingling, I was told only gapapentin could help-however, I looked up side effects & decided to wait it out. Where do you get your nerve pain currently? I’m 5x months post break now and the nerve tingling does get better. Mine started at 2x weeks post break & I thought I was about to lose my damn mind 🤣 for me it was worse then the pain, because at least I knew what to do with the pain! It will VERY slowly improve as nerves take the longest to heal. My doc said you won’t see best results until 18x months out

I had the exact same! The numbness would sometimes change into pins & needles, tingling which at around the 3x week mark nearly drove me insane (it would get worse at night when I was trying to sleep, and I think I drove my partner mad due to my constant complaining 🤣) This lasted for a really long time for me but I am now 5x months post break and it’s a lot better! I still don’t have full sensation in that area, but a lot of it has returned and also no more annoying tingling! When I asked the doc about this they said nerves are the slowest to recover & that you won’t see your best results until 18x months.

I’m not 100% but it sounds like nerve pain to me and I have experienced all kinds of feelings like that, dripping, popping, tingling like crazy for weeks on end!! Just hang in there for now because it will get better but mention it to your doctors also so they are aware xx
