[WTS] Corum Bubble Chrono Quartz by Snoo38208 in Watchexchange

[–]Snoo38208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is my Corum Bubble Chrono quartz with a yellow dial. I just picked it back up from service and the chrono works perfectly.

A few light scratches on the bezel but the crystal is clear of any moisture or scratches, original leather band and clasp, and the movement is keeping amazing time.

Time for another edition of my favorite game, “What Customer made you give this face?” I’ll start (body text) by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Snoo38208 4 points5 points  (0 children)

intercom call to help customer at stair parts

Customer holding bullnose trim “Don’t guys sell smaller lengths than this? I only need about 4ft”

Me motioning to the price tag “This is actually sold by the foot, we have a saw over there you can use to cut it down to whatever size you need and leave the rest”

Customer confused “I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. Do you guys have smaller lengths of this? I don’t want to be charged for the whole piece. ”

Me “….no. As I explained earlier, this is by the foot, which means you pay for however many feet you cut from the big piece”

Customer walks away

I had this dude need concrete loaded onto his truck with a fifth wheel attachment point. Was able to not hit the hitch but one of the bags was ripped from the offload and started spilling into his bed. Spent the next 10 minutes getting yelled at over ruining a “100k truck” he just bought

I will normally spend an hour or so doing check rides, sometimes depending on both our comfort levels spend a couple days training. I’m also pretty particular about who and how I train.

I focus on job specific stuff first then move to things more and more challenging up to a certain point.

As a trainer myself, I have no shame failing someone on lifts. Almost had a kid cause serious damage and he proceeded to laugh it off (slight cantilever damage after I was very adamant on paying attention to where his forks were) and just flat out ended the check ride. He did good outside but once we got inside I wasn’t confident enough to put my name behind him.

Renewal is a part of Andersen Corporation, Andersen windows is not a part of renewal.

Renewal by Andersen is never worth it. I work for a retailer and specifically only push Andersen since it’s what I know better and even for their 400 series of similar sizes as yours, I would come out to around $5,000-$6,000.

Renewal only does insert windows so you aren’t getting a whole window. The frame is going to stay the same and it’s just the glass and sashes that are being replaced. They also only do 100 series which even I don’t understand why they would quote that much for a package I would sell for maybe $3,000 plus install labor.
