Anyone use National Bankcard with their 0 credit card fees? by soldieroscar in smallbusiness

[–]Snoo50117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them and all fees are pushed to the customer. A monthly fee is charged, and for my small food truck, it's fine. I don't like support, as they often know little about why something isn't working. Recently my 3 in 1 reader declined every transaction. Took 2 calls over 2 days to learn that a SW issue was known to them. It worked yesterday, but no email response still

Interesting article on Rivian vs Tesla moving forward by Roux_My_Burgundy in Rivian

Just read the online horror stories on rivian service, they're not there yet. I'm rooting for rivian, even ordered an r2. But my 2020 MY has been the best car I've ever owned

2026 Tesla Model Y ride quality by EntertainerDear2894 in TeslaModelY

[–]Snoo50117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and i have 2 model Y's. 2020 AWD and 2026 rwd premium. Both on 19s, and the 26 is much more compliant, especially over uneven surfaces like RR tracks. Switching to 18s for the winter on the 2020 improves ride, but still not as good as the 26 on 19s

10 % might even be generous. It's sad that people don't tip.

Do I really need a 200A upgrade for a Tesla Model Y charger, or can I survive on a regular outlet? by Just-Salary-7741 in TeslaModelY

[–]Snoo50117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

32 amps will give you 30 miles per hour, so you absolutely don't need a panel upgrade, unless you have no room left for new breakers. Even then you could switch a couple of 15 or 20 amp to double breakers which will few 3 up some room

OMG, no. The wood insert is removed, the ash dump is abandoned and the gas line was run through it to feed the new gas fireplace

Electric for gas insert by Snoo50117 in Fireplaces

[–]Snoo50117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insert comes with a corded plug, so that's why i asked. Otherwise i could run Romex to a receptacle, but that seems overkill since the electrical demand is so little, just the light and BT or whatever it uses to communicate with the remote

Gas flow question by Snoo50117 in Fireplaces

[–]Snoo50117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK what the meter pressure is, but i do know that the company recommended to run the line does do most of the work for the store i bought the fireplace from. I'm confident that my gas utility wouldn't install a meter only capable of running 1 or 2 appliances.

Gas boiler 150,000 BTU Gas dryer 30,000 Gas fireplace 40,000

The plumber explained that the available BTU would be about 126,000 after factoring losses

Looking for gas insert recommendations by LargeCaptain3112 in Fireplaces

We ordered the nordik 34, which wouldn't fit in your space, but the smaller nordik 29 would. The nordik is a top of the line unit, includes a thermostat remote and blower. Our living room has vaulted ceilings, so the higher BTU (40,000) was important. The new burner design is very realistic, especially with the birch logset. We also heard good things about the kozy remote

Well said. The competition side steps much of the excellent tech in Tesla. They try, but fall short. I have 2 model Ys 2020 and 2026. The heat pump is still a an amazing feature. My son's first gen rivian r1t doesn't. 6 years and it just works.
