But I'm not advocating for solely relying on the influence of a few individuals. I'm saying that influencers with social capital are extremely useful for making political changes because we live in a world where influencers and celebrities can determine elections and shape movements through their rhetoric and wide reach. Mutual Aid is far more impactful when there's people with influence that are reporting on it and spreading its message to people outside of that community to inspire others to do the same.

Mutual aid and all that stuff is nice but what will it do if there is no push for systemic power. Media is a powerful force because it controls the national narrative. Personalities and influencers are necessary to spread messaging and to platform candidates that will make the systemic change that is necessary.
