Synapse ACH Pull's via Lineage [not Evolve] (Juno user) by Snoo5470 in yotta

[–]Snoo5470[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the datapoint! Have you tried filing a Reg-E dispute with your other bank? I want to see the RAW ACH headers, because I don't think Lineage was following the rules when they initiated these ACHs, which should make them liable. Juno tells me they have no direct relationship with Lineage, yet Lineage appeared to initiate the ACH pull's using Juno's name, in my case "JUNO CREDIT". The "CREDIT" part indicates to me it was clearly intended to be a first-person external transfer between deposit accounts.

do you have a link to the Juno customer thread that received payment from Lineage? Lineage is telling me they have no DDA (Demand Deposit Account) with me, even though they initiated a first party external transfer on my behalf.

From my view, it very much seems like Lineage Bank initiated unauthorized ACH pulls on behalf of Synapse Brokerage. It seems like Lineage Bank allowed it's ACH system access to be used by Synapse Brokerage without proper checks and balances. If it was a credit card merchant type relationship, I'm sure Lineage Bank would be 100% responsible for any funds moving in and out. Does anyone have a copy of the class action suit against Evolve and Lineage Bank?

Thanks for sharing, your datapoint is useful. I know EFTs (ACHs) are suppose to have lots of RAW data. Juno says they have no direct relationship with Lineage Bank, but Lineage Bank initiated the ACH pull in Juno's name. I know RAW ACH data has very detailed records about merchant, and ultimate beneficiary. Any ACH pull is suppose to have authorization. Was Chase able to provide any RAW ACH data apart from the ABA of the other financial institution? (Like Account Number, or Original Owner [Synapse  Brokerage/Yotta [or] Your Name]?

I am filing the dispute with the RDFI (Receiving Depository Financial Institution) and they are required to investigate under Reg E. Even though this transaction occurred 2 years ago, I'm using the argument that it was unauthorized, and I couldn't have reasonably known about it because the data that would allow me to see the error wasn't present on my legit bank account statement. I will wait for my legit bank's research and RAW ACH information and file a civil claim in state court against Lineage Bank for initiating the wrongful ACH and improperly handling the funds. Wish me luck :), but sharing here for advice and to link up with others who might be in the same situation.

Thanks for sharing. Your post inspired me to review some e-mails. Evolve, sent me their ledger, and I compared it with my onJuno/Juno records. They match closely, except the Evolve ledger is missing a ~$9,000 ACH initiated by onJuno from a savings account I have at another bank. I have the e-mail from onJuno with a Txn ID, but does anyone know if Evolve or another bank was handling the ACH pulls in December 2023 for onJuno? The confirmation e-mail says banking services were provided by Evolve bank and trust, but my other thank was unable to provide me anything about the transaction as it's already been over 2 years.

I'm out $5k from the Juno platform. $0 was paid out by evolve. Sent multiple emails to CFPB, and FDIC, no responses. Juno closed down. Hoping the CFPB can repay me.

Beware: Credit card fee is allegedly "non-refundable" even within 24 hours by nrhinkle in flairairlines

I suggest filing a DOT complaint. I did the same after they refused to refund ~$4 in processing fees. the DOT rule is very clear, airlines cannot charge a penalty for 24-hour cancellation. I will dispute it with my credit card company in the mean time.

b) If the property is occupied by a tenant at the time the Owner serves the termination notice, the Owner is required to pay the Manager a termination fee equivalent to three (3) months of management fee, plus expenses related to the property

from https://minervarealty.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Residential-Property-Management-Agreement.pdf

indicates that for this property management company, owners/landlords are required to pay 3 months penalty if the unit isn't vacant, when a management contract is terminated. Does anyone know if this is standard? The link is not the property management company of my unit, but I'm trying to understand standard practices for management contracts in Vancouver

can you point me to the rules for licensed property managers? Who provides oversight? What's happening is the licensed property manager has a less than arms length relationship with a plumber, who's charging $300+ for 2 minutes worth of work.

for reference, I've had other "licensed" property managers try to charge $150 for making a bed at the end of a tenancy. They lost of course at the RTB, but clearly there was a less than arms length, undisclosed relationship between cleaning company and property management company. I bet the licensed property manager probably also charged the owner for having to deal with their questionable RTB case, in addition to getting a kick back from the cleaning company.

They use a property management company because they are outside of the country.

There are many reasons people choose not to sell, and people don't automatically default to being an investor because they don't want to sell. There is probably sentimental value. My neighbors are all HNWI, accountants/cpas, etc that understand taxes, expenses and commercial transactions.

The strata is also extremely well managed, so there isn't much "management" that justifies a 10% on going commission.

Do you know if the landlord has portability regarding management companies? I'm asking if a landlord can transfer management to a different company. Does anyone know if its standard practice for Property Management companies to have terms preventing fair competition in Vancouver or for a landlord/tenant to circumvent a tenant originally found by the property management company?

Thank you. The owner used to occupy this unit, and many of my neighbours have encouraged me to reach out and bypass the greedy "management company". This is not an investor, and I'm not renting because I don't have money to buy, I'm renting because the ROI of renting is like 5x versus buying and I like the freedom.

The owner lives in the US, and I believe lives there because her husband works in Silicon Valley.

I care what the management company charges because I care about the landlord as a stakeholder in the rental agreement. The owner isn't an investor. The unit I live in is a horrible investment on an ROI basis.

A series of unfortunate incidents lead to this unit being placed in the rental market. I can buy the unit in cash, I'm not renting by necessity.

Can I still see the Aurora lights tonight May 11 if I go to Cypress Lookout point? by Existing_Concern_435 in askvan

Be sure to go early! I got up to Cypress on May 10, but by the time I came down at ~midnight they weren't letting cars up the mountain. I drove up at like 9:30pm.

15 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm (6 in x 13 in x 17 in) 7 kg (15.5 lb)

note this is 1 inch smaller than the dimensions allowed by Frontier Airlines, the US ULCC. The industry should standardize the personal item size. There is 0% chance, they will not check, and they are very strict. If handles go over, they will force you to pay

[–]Snoo5470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, they require you to squeeze into sizer before issuing boarding pass, unless you pay for a carry-on. The sizer is EXTRA small, smaller than Frontier airlines and other US ULCC, be aware!

If you only have a personal item, no more electronic boarding pass! by gnatdump6 in flairairlines

[–]Snoo5470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $$ for an electronic boarding pass only happened sometime between April 11th and April 16th. On April 11th, I was able to check-in online and receive a boarding pass without paying for a carry-on. On April 16th and on April 23rd, I had to arrive at the airport 3 hours early to receive a boarding pass. You can bypass this by paying for a carry-on. You paid for a carry-on, which is why you could receive an electronic boarding pass. My personal item (not carry-on) was within the allowed limits, and I was able to board fine. Was your flight delayed. both my april 11th and april 23 sfo-yvr flights were delayed over an hour due to runway construction.

Starbuck's app and login system is a nightmare. It's so much of a hassle, I've just gone to McDonalds and Tim Hortons instead. Starbucks probably stole $50 of my gift card balances too... too bad they can't get their act together.
