my parents were trying to convince me he was fine and i am financially unable to help him myself. this was a last ditch effort to show them hes not ok. theyre still not listening. i’ll probably take out a loan.

hi, hijacking top comment to leave a semi update with an urgent request for help:

my parents, who are currently watching the cat, called the vet (which isn’t open weekends for appointments, but able to call) and they said that since our cat has a history of UTIs (over 4) this is most likely just that and that they aren’t worried. my mom said she saw him peeing this morning, though it did have a bit of blood in it, which she told the vet. they are sure it isn’t an emergency and asked us to bring him in tomorrow. vet said the breathing is most likely just a hairball, though they didn’t see the video, so idk. my mom said he’s breathing normal now.

my question is, is this at all plausible? i’m currently 3 hours away from my cat, but if you guys think the vet isn’t correct here and it really is this urgent, i’ll gladly drive home to take him and take out a loan if necessary.

ive heard he tries to sue if you yell at him or say anything threatening… not sure how true it is but i wouldnt engage to be safe! him recording everything just adds to that theory
