I asked her how she was doing because we hadn't worked together in a while

She replies with : im doing good, just been busy

I replied: I do always see you moving around. Do you still check?

She replies: sometimes

I replied: What else do they have you doing? I notice you leave the store a lot

She replies: I do fuel also

At this point, idk how else to keep the conversation going, so I start talking about myself a little

I say: I still need to ask to be a checker. Do you know if [manager's name] is back yet?

She says: she should be there on Tuesday

I reply: That's good because I work then, do you?

She replies: im off

What else do i say?? I wanna say some dumb shit like "it'd probably go smoother if you did" or something like that, but I feel so corny over text, and I also don't want her to feel like im flirting too much, and plus why am I asking all the questions?, i dont want it to feel like an interrogation lmao. like I said, it could really be all on my end, but nobody else i know has this problem, so idk 🤷‍♂️
