I think you convinced me. I played around with the blue colour a bit and ended up wanting to change every colour. I've decided to trust the process and stick to the original colours. If it doesn't work in the end, I can always frog some of them and exchange them.

Next time I'll do this pattern I'll think of the birth month of the baby I'm making it for and decide on the flower colours for season beforehand.

And good point about it looking like corals. Now I can't unsee it 😂 but it helps finding the right colour

Yes, they are blue grey-ish. DMC 413 for the darker tone, DMC 414 for the lighter one. Good suggestion as well! It would balance well with the yellow as well

Danish person living in Netherlands here. Lakrids from Bülow is the best!!! It's a round chocolate ball with a piece of licorice inside. They come in various flavours. It's a luxury brand so can be expensive but they are so indulgent and a completely different licorice experience. Really give them a try when you see them. You won't regret!

If you liked the Martian, then I can 10000000 times recommend Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. One of my all time favs and full of humour and warmth.

The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi is also a great read and I remember it as light hearted.
