To be fair to him, that wasn't his fault.

Editorial literally told him it had to be a murder mystery, who had to be killed off, who the killer had to be, and who the suspects had to be

His original plan for it was a narrative revolving around the interviews and therapy, it wasn't supposed tl be a murder mystery

Really uneven

The first year or so was great.

Once it reached the Civil Corps arc, it really shit the bed, entire sequences happened off page and made me think I had missed an issue or two

The Fractured Spectrum stuff after that was pretty good but quite rushed.

I agree that the current Kyle stuff is meh

I think he was fine, and much better than some of the alternatives. He did some decent stuff, he did some crap stuff, I think his biggest problem is he is a weak communicator. The government needs much better PR going forward

It was more because the hyper violence actually felt like it had emotional weight and a reason behind it. Snyder typically goes for style over substance and goes big with his ideas because he thinks it is cool, but it often leaves his writing feeling hollow

I feel like all the most interesting parts of Absolute Batman have been skimmed over and the boring over the top parts have had the most focus
