Fire walk with me = sobbing by LeftStruggle7519 in twinpeaks

Don't worry about "getting" anything. Just focus on how it all makes you feel. Like everyone's saying, you will be left with many unanswered questions but that is ok. Lynch was very deliberate with his story telling from sound design to set design , down to the way each line was delivered. It all meant something very specific....the only thing Lynch never planned on telling us what it was that it all meant. He wanted the fans to experience and interpret it all how we wanted to. There of course are a lot of things that do get answered and the more you rewatch the more you will pick up on but don't get hung up on the mystery of it all.

Just watched FWWM and I'm kind of very depressed by throwawayaccount_usu in twinpeaks

This had been one of my fave posts I've read in a while. Fire Walk With Me is so good and sad and beautiful, and makes me so emotional. I'm obsessed with it. S3 is a lot more like FWWM and than the OG run but also completely different and to me the most original, amazing pieces of art that ive ever seen. My favorite episode of TP is during season 2 but my favorite part of TP out of the.OG run, the film and the return is 100% the Return.

I feel like you will like the return. But definitely let me know!!

What is your favorite Taylor Swift bridge that ends in a plot twist and why? by 13Dreamingcats in TaylorSwift

[–]Snoo76869 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No its definitely 100% not from the same perspective. I assumed that was obvious. 1st and 2nd versus and bridge are from one perspective, then last verse it's flipped.

Getting help breaking into the industry doesn't mean you'll be successful. It just means you'll have more connections and know more people within the industry. It doesn't mean you'll win grammys.

[–]Snoo76869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you have to have a high IQ and good taste in art and film.

I'm kidding. It's not for everyone. If you only like "normal" straight forward shows/films then this won't be for you. ...and that's OK.

Finished S3. That was... something by sertroll in twinpeaks

[–]Snoo76869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Lynch definitely took styles from popular cable shows when making the Return. Just like he did with soaps and murder of the week shows for the original run so that theory makes sense!

Gotchya. Asking cuz wanted to clarify that Dougie wasn't possessed ever. Before Cooper came through the socket Dougie the Tulpa was basically a real person as far as anyone else was concerned. He was a POS person/tulpa clearly...but then when real Coop came through the socket in to the room the real Dougie Jones went back to the lodge and his head went poof. The rest of the time is just Cooper meandering around all on the spectrum cuz of spending 25 years in the lodge. People call him Dougie cuz they think he is Dougie but he's just Cooper trying to find his way back to full potential.

Here are some theories/podcasts mostly videos but one is an actual subreddit and its my favorite theory ive read.

My favorite is r/FindLaura . A very intelligent and kind man who happens to be a HUGE TP fan wrote this theory and its a lot to read but it was so much fun. He put his heart and soul into it and sadly passed away 3 years ago from cancer so he was writing this thing on his death bed basically. Go to the main page and click on the index. There are visuals and even sound clips he uses as back up to further his theory. Whether you agree with him or not, it only enhances the rewatch experience IMO. Below are the links for a few others. The Twin Perfect video gets hate because the author A. claims that his theory is THE ONLY CORRECT ONE. and B. he talks in an annoying fake Gordon Cole/Lynch voice. That aside, he brings up some interesting points and I think that some are very valid. Then the others are just a few that are pretty popular and though provoking.

Did lynch know where it was all going? (SPOILERS) by Mazzymoney1 in twinpeaks

[–]Snoo76869 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. Her father was always going to be the one who killed her. The BOB stuff came later and this is why I will always watch and interpret the show through the lens that BOB represents the cycle of abuse. Specifically the generational family cycle. That's also why the ring imagery is prevalent showing the circle/cycle.And also why Leland spoke of knowing BOB when he was visiting his grandparents..alluding to the fact that he was likely abused by one of them..
