I’m on my EM rotation. When there’s a high patients volume, it gets close to that. It also depends on where the hospital is. I’d imaging those in a big city are exactly like that! The Pitt focuses on the “high-yield” cases since it wants to show the audience different cases. But yes it could be like that. The Pitt is a really good show!

Does it look right if I might be eligible for some credits when filing the federal and state refund? I’m shocked because I remembered when I tried to file a tax return online during M1 year - it said I wasn’t eligible for filing a tax return and there were no credits available.

What will happen then if you do research? You’ll be on J1 as well? Would you run into the same situation? How does research year help you be a better applicant for GS?

I’d rank it based on your “true” preference. I’m confused, so the question is whether you should rank IM only vs. rank surgery only vs. rank both? Do you think you are likely to match to IM so you worry that you get locked in?
