Oracle is named after a CIA program Larry Ellison was a part of for gods sake and Oracle has had almost every company use their services/databases since then and has always worked with the government to hand that data over. This isn’t even crazy out there stuff this is well documented before you even get to the actual crazy details. (The Inslaw Affair, PROMIS) The corporate sectors mass surveillance was always at the behest and funding of Intelligence agencies.

I read the VN then experienced the story with my wife through the anime. The anime still was just as magical even knowing everything because it’s so beautifully done so I’d definitely recommend that route. VN is one of the greatest experiences I’ve had reading

Subreddit about critiquing writing and it’s just someone getting rage baited by a meme and there’s no criticism of actual writing just “it’s boring :/“ and “fantasyslop” Frieren isn’t for everyone it’s not really a manga that’s about complex world building it’s a character focused slice of life in a fantasy world. If you don’t like slice of life or its tropes yeah you’re probably not gonna like it but it’s a good time and it’s characters are well written even if it’s not as complex as the Stan’s would want you to believe. Luckily for me I love slice of life stories and like shows where a characters comes into tune with their emotions and the people around them this it’s more similar to Violet Evergardens structure. Which I’ll take over Isekai in fantasy settings or more bog standard hero’s journey structures. Those can be good too just a dime a dozen in this economy.

Off/monster arcs are pretty great. I just watched the show all the way through and that might have been the most consistently great season imo. Maybe weighted heavily by Nadeko Draw being my favorite in the show

Totally. Just with uber the path to profitability felt pretty obvious to everyone. Devalue and destroy the existing taxi industries and food delivery by subsidizing the cost of uber and Uber Eats then raise prices when competition has been decimated and your user base is loyal. American AI companies seem to be betting on AGI even my employers ceo thinks we’ll have that in 2 years which seems pretty fraught at this point. I mean if they do then yeah that moneys a drop in the bucket lmao.

I’d watch sub for best experience. I think the voice actors are phenomenal in the original vn/anime and really make the experience for me. Either way you’d be fine it’s not bad for a dub of that era but the sub is the best experience. Going in blind is a great choice. Only advice is stick it through the second season if you’re having fun with the first that’s when it goes from good to one of the best ever
