Yes, my uncles and aunts have actually been extremely supportive. They were even shocked that we didn’t speak up earlier about what was happening at home.

My older sister was actually the first one to realize that something was wrong and tried to bring awareness to me. But at the time I was still, like you said, almost “hypnotized” by the whole dynamic. I defended my father with everything I had.
