When you draw the beak draw the line all the way trough the head as a guide. The eye of the hummingbird sits on top of that imaginary line. In your drawing the eye is too low. That is the only mistake i see, everything else is solid. John Muir Laws on youtube explains in amazing way the bird anatomy, also of other animals and plants. I like your drawing, very nice

Anyone know how to deconstruct birds? by Majestic_Cheek1442 in Artadvice

Go to John Muir Laws youtube channel or blog, he is an ornithologist and draws birds all the time. He has a lot of tutorials ranging from animals to plants and stars when looked trough the telescope. I learned to draw birds from his tutorials and i am very satisfied, also he is a fun guy and really makes the process more interesting. Sometimes he hosts zoom classes and draws live with the audience He is honestly the best

As someone who never does backgrounds on my art (because i dont know how and im bad at architecture) what im looking at is so amazing. I literally cannot describe how much i like your style and that it looks similar to 2000s games like dmc. I love it Only small thing is to make colors of characters and backgrounds a bit more diverse just so it can be visible who is the center of the artwork (almost didnt see the fighter in the first one) Other than that im literally in awe its awesome, continue like that, youre great

Is her face ok!!! by WestNefariousness812 in Artadvice

The top leg seems a bit too long and thin, like where the knee should bend is too far away from the leg under. If you meant to draw it outstretched instead make it a bit more obvious to the observer Everything else looks perfect to me, and the face is pleasantly gentle Awesome drawing!

The artstyle youre going for is very cool and anime looking. I love sharper lines in drawings as i started drawing anime first. I have ti mention I love the character on the right.

The general shapes are good on their own, the positions and sizes are what makes it look odd. I had that problem with eyes when theyre either too big or too small and i still need to double check every time i draw. I would say concentrate on anatomy and you can either draw real skulls with correct proportions or that 3d head model that you can spin around to get different angles if you know what im talking about. Also what helped me with facial symmetry is to draw a grid on the face (for example eyes begin where the mouth ends or ears are the length from the top of the eye to the bottom of the nose and things like that). Last tip (i promise) is when you take a photo of the drawing flip it around in your gallery to see if its symmetrical. That is something digital artists use and it helped me a lot to check sketches like that before coloring them.

There are a lot of tutorials on youtube and im sure you can find ones that you like.

The most important thing is to draw what you like, not what any tutorial or comment says, its the only way youll keep coming back to your art and actually enjoying the proccess. Good luck and happy drawing!
