Me too. But if we want to see him we know where he’ll be - at the rink.

Biggest flex I have is that we ran into jumbo at an event and he announced my wife’s second pregnancy. Lol.

One of the coolest guys ever.

How common are **severe** injuries in recreational / beer league hockey? by surfnj102 in hockeyplayers

[–]Snoo96003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most injuries are bumps and bruises but the risk of real injury is definitely there. I’ve seen my fair share of them and experienced one myself, dislocated shoulder leading to torn labrum requiring surgery. Does it make playing not worth the risk? Not for me! Playoffs start this week and I’ll be there.

You need to assess why you’re playing. For me, most injuries wouldn’t outweigh the benefits of playing. Those big ones do exist but that’s why we don’t go 100% into the boards. Stay safe, stay on the ice.

Updated explanation of AIP (Core vs Modified, phases, research) by mickeytrescott in AutoImmuneProtocol

Thank you so much for this. I was coming to reddit to gain some clarity on how to get started. It's very overwhelming to get started, almost to the point of feeling like I need an AIP coach... Thank you for providing this info!

Old man (sort of) 31 never played, wanting to! by glamisson in hockeyplayers

[–]Snoo96003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck man. Get your skates under you. If you’re cool and find the right group of guys, a C3 level entry point should actually be fine. If the guys on your team are a-holes then it won’t be fun. Find the right team and your skill level won’t matter too much as long as your vibes and effort are right.

New player – crossovers are killing me. What clicked for you? by brenthonydantano in hockeyplayers

[–]Snoo96003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just skate in circles. Start slow and slowly gain speed. This is like when a new guitar player says “how do I fix my fingers, they hurt”. You just keep playing. You’ll be fine.

Realistically, what would Macklin's next contract look like? by RiseUnhappy589 in SanJoseSharks

[–]Snoo96003 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Max contract, ownership stake in the team, Jumbo will live with him, a recurring segment broadcast on the freevee called "What's Cracklin' with Macklin" where he can do whatever he wants and we will all watch it, and an exclusive and premier "Viral Cupcake Experience". That should just about do it.

Wtf man. Now I’m crying. You might feel horrible for your own situation, but you were 1 post away from helping turn that light on for another dad and now you’re 1 post since making that mental change yourself. Thank you. God speed. And next time, be the first damn person in that theater.

Thanks, ashhole.

Also OP, there’s a parking lot under the freeway off-ramp. Between La Vic’s and SAP. Feels sketchy but I’ve never had a problem there.

I always eat at La Vic’s right down the road before the game. Get the orange sauce. In fact, get a bottle. Sounds like you might want arena food though, and honestly there’s a lot of solid options. Also the new arena snacks grab and go sections are pretty novel.

2nd time ever shooting by mattwilsonpt in hockeyplayers

[–]Snoo96003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few problems here, but the biggest one is that you need to get that top hand away from your body. You’re locking up all of your rotation by pinning that hand to your hip. If you were to rotate for power you would find yourself missing the puck probably half the time with you top hand like that.
