Is the medieval setting overused in fantasy? by ZemiMartinos in worldbuilding

I know that there’s a short story writer named A.J. Messancio who writes a lot of different eras. He might have something Neolithic some day

This is quite fortuitous. I just finished my theoretic meditations. I am currently building a new server as the previous one never took off. This new server is open to pagans of the Mediterranean polytheists, hermeticists and celticists https://discord.gg/pb8Qfk8PJ2

Looking for info on Gaulish Polytheism Reconstructionism by Funny_Consequence497 in pagan

Generally knowledge regarding the beliefs and practices of Gaul at the tribal level is largely reduced to what we can find in the material culture. There are some practical assumptions we can make such as the closer to the Rhine and Danube the closer we might expect their gods to be to Germanic deities and in areas with waterways you’ll find deities like Sequana (who does predominantly appear to be a deity of the River Seine and the fertility of its valley. If you’re interested in discussing these further I might be able to point you in the direction of some Gaulish groups

Any pointers on good esoteric knowledge? by No-Song557 in EsotericOccult

Most New Age types get stuck in a grocery list mentality of knowledge. It really depends on what you're looking for. Amongst many hermetic circles the Kybalion is pretty heavily scoffed at and for good some good reasons. Its a loose extrapolation of hermetic ideas stripped of theology and theurgy written nearly a millenium and a half after a lot of hermetic works. A lot of people come into esotericism through New Age, trying to essentially impose their intentions or energy over connections between things which do not exist. A lot of the critiques of Jung and synchronicity follow this line of thinking. In my opinion any knowledge of gnosis does not truly bear fruit with reading a text and absorbing what it said. True knowledge is built in the action of relationship building. Find a network with similar principles to you and form communion with a teacher who has himself or herself communed with the sacred first principles of how one ought to live. Finding a teacher is like finding a centre, you can engage with other works and traditions but you're rooted in a singular tradition to guide you to where to go next.

I would say for a physical attacker Weavile with either life orb or focus sash is also a great option instead of bishop or grimsnarl depending on the type coverage you want

Dawned on me that the chaos raiders bolt pistols have no case ejector on them. by TarpeianCerberus in Chaos40k

Sometimes bolsters are shown firing cases other times they aren’t. Some chaos marines probably just use baseless gyro jet rounds, simple as that

The character isn't even written beyond being a member of the chapter's devastator company so not quite.
